Me and my sister took her two cats here shortly after we got them from the shelter. They had an upper respiratory issue, like most shelter kittens do. We took them to Gaide Because of there walk in policy where they will see two pets for one price. The up front staff was very nice and could have been a little more inviting but they got the job done. When we saw the vet, not sure which vet it was, they were very rude, and almost belittling. They called my sisters kittens "dirty shelter cats." Now I'm not stupid, I understand they are shelter cats, but to call them dirty? I thought that was very rude. On top of the rudeness of the vet the prices were crazy, and if the prices are the expensive i expect the service to be just as great and it was not.

The owner *( cant remember his name)* is a good doctor. I dont trust anyone else in the whole building. Every time we go there there is always a reason that my pets have to stay for the day. The cost ALWAYS exceeds the quote price. If you get quote a quote for anywhere from 100 to 300 dollars. expect to pay $350.00 The people are nice enough but the places has the feel of a auto shop where they will stick you with the highest trumped up cost that they can get away with. My dog is getting x rays right now and they claim to have to sedate the dog.. 200 bucks! I had the same dog in Leslie Veterinary hospital a year and a half ago for the same exact x ray and my total visit was 60 dollars... Avoid this place. ======================================================== Update, after x rays my puppy is so messed up she wont stop crying. the hurt her no doubt about it! she was limping before but still wagging her tail and trying to play. now we cant even touch her!... MY PUPPY IS WORSE!!!

I was looking for a vet to take my pit, and this place is just wonderful. They not only stay open to where I can take my dog in after work, their prices are fair, and their staff is completely respectful and caring. LOVE this place

We recently moved to Jackson and were in need of a veterinary clinic for our three dogs (puggle, corgi, and french mastiff puppy). We searched the internet for reviews and, along with the high number of positive reviews, decided to try the Gaide Vetrinary Hospital because of it's walk-in policy. We have not been disappointed in our choice. Our puppy has been seen by Drs. Cotlin and Wintz; both have been fantastic with their bedside manner and knowledge base. Our other two dogs will be visiting the Clinic later this week for their initial well-dog visits and we anticipate that their visit will be as positive as has our puppy's. Highly recommended!!

Dr. Gaide and his staff are the most knowledgable, caring vets in the area. Most recently, Dr. Gaide performed "tightrope" surgery on my dog after she had ruptured her cruciate ligament in her knee. I travel over two hours to get to this vet because of their expertise and ability. I highly recommend them. The standard of care is second to none. They are always on the cutting edge of new methods and procedures to help chronic lameness and other problems. Prices are fair, even less than my "day to day" vet in St. Clair Shores.
