Google reviews have been incredibly unkind to your practice. As the CFO of All American Pet Resort Royal Oak, a 200-dog, luxury boarding facility in Royal Oak, I consider myself an expert in many areas of the pet industry. After being in and around this sole industry since the age of 4, over 3 decades ago. I have visited 300+ kennels and 100+ vet practices and have never been given a complete and thorough tour of any one of them. At Madison Vet, I was offered one! What did I find? Clean holding areas, prep areas, and an immaculate surgical atmosphere. I have since used them during their hours on many occasions as daycare and boarding yields some incidents. On every occasion I have been pleased. Art Jr
Fellow Pet Owners: A couple reviews by anonymous people who can't accept that their "perfect pet" could possibly need their teeth cleaned should NOT sway you from this vet. My first experience with them was for my moms dog (Samoyed), who was geriatric and in his final days. These wonderful people are waiting when we get there, and come rushing out with a stretcher to carry him in for us. - Think about that for a moment... Seriously. (I'll NEVER forget that.) I now have a dog of my own (Boston Terrier) who had a disc problem in her early years. I though I was going to lose her. I was waiting for some xray results of treatment, and left a frantic message after hours. Dr Rollo called me back, to my surprise, and said he was working after hours and didn't want me to worry all weekend. (The results were positive) In the past, what?... 20 years, I have never had anything less than a caring, positive experience with these wonderful people. In my mind, my dog's life is more valuable than 99.99% of people on this planet. So if you want to call me "overprotective" that's fine. But it should only validate this review that much more.
WOW...I am very shocked to see these reviews. I have been going to Madison since 1999. I also drive the distance to get there. I DON'T want to go anywhere else. I am sad to feel that everyone just does reviews to beat businesses down. I will say I know they have been a company since 1973 or 1972...I don't know for sure but, either way....take a look for a moment...what a total of... 16 reviews.... for this business since 1973?? That does NOT make sense to me, besides people only complain when it is bad. Never giving compliments as often as they should. I can not imagine that any business can stay open for as long as they have with out being good. I will also say I am scared to death to open my own business if this is what I have to deal with. I will say that I too have had issues with Madison, but I can also say that they are fixed or resolved in an acceptable time frame. Everyone seems to care. I know about those "Health Packages" that a previous reviewer wrote....what I can say is...I have been on them and off them with my dog. What I understand for me is... it is very hard to have $200.00 to walk in and get heartworm prevention and exam and whatever else...I personally live pay check to pay check...I have learned that It is better for me to pay monthly then large sums at once. It's what feels right for you. As an avid client since 1999, that I can also share that through the years I have seen staff come and go but what I always see is how they always stick with the times.....my example....I started with paper post card reminders and some letters to remind me when shots are due, then they moved to getting emails, I know get (instead of a paper post card) a pic they took of my awesome golden "Sam" (I love him sooo much!!!) and now....I get freaking texts!!!! It's great!!! Last, I still thinking everyone is sooo nice there no matter who I may be dealing with, my sam loves going there!! From appointments, to boarding...it's the place I take always take Sam!!!
My first issue was when our puppy was younger and during a routine visit we had some concerns as new dog owners, the vet tech seemed to dismiss our questions and said that when the vet comes into the office he could answer them, he blew them off as well. Most recently our puppy was limping so we contacted the vet first thing the next morning. Carol, who answered the phone was rude and said they didn't have any appointments available. Concerned, and again, new pet owner, did not know what to do to help my dog. I asked Carol if I should then take him to emergency since my vet is unavailable. She responded by saying "We aren't even starting appointments until noon." What that has to do with anything, I am not sure... I guess she is trying to prove some kind of worthless point. There was a slight pause in the conversation, as I was speechless and felt helpless, she said she would have a vet tech call me as soon as possible to help address my concern and figure out what the real issue is. That was 6 hours ago, in the mean time my puppy is still limping around, and my vet that I have paid hundreds of dollars to, is not there to help my dog. Needless to say, I have sought out a different vet that I was able to get a same day appointment with, and I will be walking into the MH office to gather all of my dogs records and to let them know I will never be returning again. AVOID!!!
Wow im shocked to hear so many bad reviews i have had nothing but good experiences with the office and doctors. i have been taking my pets to MVH for many years and not only do my pets love them so do i. i have seen Dr. Rollo & Dr. Levey and both of them provided excellent care ,i have never felt pressured into unnecessary or extra procedures or felt the prices were higher than surrounding vets, although i do keep my pets in good health so perhaps the procedures were not just needed. my pets have received everything from vaccinations to grooming and even major surgery at MVH and sadly even euthanasia (r.i.p ozi) through it all the doctors walked us through every step worked with us on payment plans and called to check up on us and the pets every few days
