    We have 2 cats and LOVE Dr. Sharma. One of our cats had problems with his glands requiring two emergency surgeries and several frantic phone calls on my part, as well as urinary problems. Every time I called they always told me to bring him right in. Dr. Sharma always made time to take a quick look and ensure everything was normal even though it wasn't a scheduled appointment. For quick visits when nothing was wrong and no tests required he usually didn't charge us. We ended up experimenting with different food, suggested by Dr. Sharma and finally got our cat's problems under control. It was a very difficult road for about 9 months but Dr. Sharma was persistent and helpful. Now our cat thankfully has zero issues. I can't say another vet would have taken the time and been as kind to our cat as Dr. Sharma was. I also want to add as others have that there are absolutely no surprises when it comes to cost. He is very up front about the cost of a procedure and reasonable. All of his staff are very kind and patient. We are truly thankful for Dr. Sharma, his staff, and his services. I would not hesitate to recommend this veterinarian.

    We love Blue Cross Animal Hospital. So far we have been to this vet 3 times after we moved to Michigan. First time, our little Maltese suddenly started vomiting and having bad diarrhea with blood. Receptionist was so nice that she got us in immediately. When we arrived Dr Sharma was in Surgery. In between his surgeries, he saw our dog, ordered a bunch of tests and x-rays. Within 25 minutes, they found out that he had pancreatitis. They gave a couple of injections and some fluids, and sent us home with instructions, that if he continued to vomit, he would need to be hospitalized. He explained the cost and why each treatment and test was being done. Next day our sweet heart was better and they called twice to check how he was doing. Vet and all the technicians were very compassionate. Second time we took our cat for a routine check up and vaccinations. This time we saw Dr Lynn. We wanted to see Dr Sharma but he was not in. Dr Lynn was so gentle with our cat. She took time and explained every thing. Our previous vet never gave us estimate of cost. Dr Lynn recommended a dental cleaning for our cat as he had gingavitas. They sent blood to the lab and booked our cat for teeth cleaning. Third visit we took our cat back for cleaning her teeth. We were worried about anesthesia and Dr Sharma made us very comfortable about safety of anesthesia. Our cat is a different cat after teeth cleaning. He is happy, and her breath is not horrible anymore. We are so happy with this vet. We highly recommend Blue Cross vet. ..and hospital is clean.

    I recently moved to Royal Oak from Chesterfield and have continued to drive my 7 year old Dachshund to the vet back in our old neighborhood. Today however, my pup decided to eat a bar of chocolate. Frightened and worried, I called this vet office because it is so close to our home. The woman who answered, Suzanne, was so nice! She was helpful and patient and took the time to make me feel better about a bad situation. My dog ended up being just fine- thank God! I am not a regular client/customer of this office. The receptionist (Suzanne) knew that and still took a lot of time to go through the situation with me and to help me understand what I could and should be doing to help my dog. I am forever grateful for their help this afternoon. I will absolutely be bringing my future pets to this office. Thank you Blue Cross Animal Hospital! Thank you Suzanne!

    I have a 11+ year old Shih Tzu, who has severe allergies to the point that he was bald, imagine a naked mole rat. I had passed this very several times but I was assured by my vet that they were doing all they could for my little guy, then he got a massive ear hematoma. I took him to Dr. Sharma because my dog was in pain, he did blood work and said that there was no reason that he couldn't have surgery. He also suggested a new allergy pill for him and my little naked mole rat has hair!!!! Everyone is so kind and I never got a dirty look when I brought in my naked mole rat, at the other vet every looked at me like I was a bad pet owner. They have also put up with my 70+ Shar Pei who is very aggressive when it comes to trimming his nails and given me other options so I don't have to put him under anesthesia. They are amazing and if there were more stars I would give them a 10 star review!!!

    My fur son, Timmy, he 12 yrs old, became ill. He not displaying anything crucial day one,, but it was noted he did not feel well the following day, he needed urgent care. I found that the Vet in Royal Oak, I had taken my dog to was closed, no longer. I did not have time to do or think, I knew I needed Timmy to be seen by a Vet. I went to Google and viewed the Vets in my local area. I found one, and his reviews scared me, truly scared me. He this Vet was nixed automatically. I then found Blue Cross Animal Hospital, Dr. Sharma. I went to his website, I scoured it, read all the reviews I could find on him. None to be negative. The rating here on Google+ is 0-3, 3 being Excellent. I wish I could give Dr. Sharma 5 stars. Something within Dr. Sharma, his website, his photos, his photos with his own Dogs, gave me the confidence that I needed. I was able to bring Timmy in that morning. Timmy was very very ill, much worse than I had realized. Timmy was provided the best of care, with Dr. Sharma. I cannot thank him enough. Timmy normally not to find men trusting, he felt comfort with Dr. Sharma, it was very noticable. His touch, his compassion, his education, I put Timmy's life into his hands. Timmy again his illness may have been for weeks gone undetected, I cannot say, it was apparent he was near his end. Dr. Sharma and his staff were available each time I called in crisis in the last week. Never once was I told, Dr. Sharma will have to call you back. No, his staff asked him my questions right then, me given his response if he was unable to come to the phone. In the time of need I never felt Timmy was neglected or to wait, Dr. Sharma was with him each day, available. I cannot say enough for him, his practice, his staff. Timmy passed in my arms this morning, and I am so thankful that Dr. Sharma was his doctor, that he was in his care. Had I gone to another Vet, I am doubtful, that anyone could have or would have provided him with higher compassion, medicine, care as Dr Sharma did. Thank you Dr. Sharma and Staff, on behalf of Timmy, my daughter, we know you did everything possible.
