Well, I can't say that I had the great experience that the other reviewers had with this Vet. I took my VERY healthy kitten there to be spayed. I dropped her off at 10:00 am. At 11:30 (ONLY AN HOUR AND A HALF?), i get a call from the Vet herself. She told me that I could come pick Gypsy up. I was a bit concerned because our regular Vet would have us drop off the animal in the morning and pick them up at closing time. They had someone monitor the animals continuously throughout the day to ensure everything is ok. Anyway, I asked the Vet on the phone if everything went ok. She said that everything was fine. One quick note: Gypsy hated her carrier. She was terrified being inside of it and I told them that when I dropped her off that morning and asked if there was anywhere else (like a cage) they could put her in because she gets so stressed out in the carrier. I didn't even put her in the carrier until we got to the office. She was so well behaved and loved riding in the car looking out the window. When the Vet called me, she stated that she put Gypsy back in the carrier after the surgery because she was jumping around so much and they were afraid that she would hurt her incision. Something seemed very wrong about this. That was not Gypsy's personality. She was a very calm, well adjusted cat. A cat jumping around right after surgery? Wasn't she sedated? Whenever I picked up an animal in the past after this surgery they were still very groggy even hours after. I must confess that I did exceed the speed limit a bit on the way to the office. I envisioned my poor little kitten, crying in that dark box and in pain. When I got to the office, there was no one at the desk. I called out "Hello". The Vet answered from the back room. Apparently her assistant went to lunch or something. About ten minutes later, the Vet appeared from the backroom carrying a large trash bag. She handed it to me and actually turned around and disappeared into the backroom again. There was no explanations. No apologies. Nothing. I understand that there is always a risk during surgery, but i feel that I deserved at least an explanation of what may have happened and maybe even a word of comfort. She killed my kitten and then handed her remains to me in a trash bag with no more emotion than if she was handing me a sack of potatoes. One troubling note is that she had been recommended a week earlier by the staff of the Humane Society. Because Gypsy was a rescue, they gave me a coupon to help pay for the cost of the surgery. I stopped in there after leaving the Vet's office to tell them about my experience. That is when they informed me that this Vet was recently fired from Cole's for what they believed was her "bed side manner". No kidding!

What an awesome vet! Not only is she a great vet but she has very affordable prices! We will definitely use her again.
