Have been going to Doc ever since we moved here in 1998. He has always been a very good vet and he has fixed every single problem my Westies have ever had. The prices to me seem comperable to any other fully accredited AAHA hospital. AmVet is a fully accredited AAHA hospital. American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is well-known for its high standards in veterinary practices and quality pet care. An AAHA hospital has an onsite pharmacy can take xrays. I recommend AmVet to everyone.

I have been taking my dogs and cats to Amvet for over 25 years. Dr. Gilgenbach and his staff are focused on providing the best care and life for the animals. I have had several pets that needed special care over their lives, and I know that their lives were extended by his care and concern. He also excels at both the nutritional and behavioral needs for my pets.

We moved from up north and both my Yorkies need heart worm check. Amvet is very, very expesnive. Most expensive vet bill I have ever went to. Office visit for exam & heart worm check took over 1 1/2 hours for 2 small dogs! Most of the time it was a class on bones, body structure, why dogs get allergies. One dog is due for distempter & bordello shot. I checked around with 3 other vets and this vet is 50% more on same shots! His special dog food was 25% more than others. I liked the vet, old school, he's been around forever but I can't afford his prices nor spend this amount of time in his office. Good service but prices too steep for someone on limited incomes.

Amvet is a great place to bring your pet. We went there for the first time today and it was a very clean place with very friendly staff. Gentle with your pets and a fair price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
