I have been to PAWS on a few different occasions, this last time was the final straw. They are over priced and sell you things that you do not need. I took my beloved doggie there after she got bit and needed about 10 stitches, it was early evening and there was no bleeding involved thankfully! PAWS checked her blood for kidney problems and other things and our bill was over $400 for minimal work. The wound was along her back leg so every time she moved her leg to walk it would cause her pain. The Vet had just done the suturing and told us how we had to be extremely careful that she doesn't walk more than to go to the bathroom, no stretching it, and no jumping. Immediately after the directions, the vet technician picked my dog up by the front legs fully extending the wound on the back leg and causing it to bleed. The area that they had just worked on for over $400! The sutures were terrible looking and there was now flesh hanging out, the vet told us that it was okay, because she had to actually cut some of the flesh off to suture it. They sent her home with a $40 collar to keep her from licking her wound which was on her back thigh and when we got her home, she bent her neck and licked her wound with the too small collar on. Terrible experience! Also, they make sure to call to remind you to bring your pet in for shots and other things to charge for but unfortunately we didn't even receive a call to see how she was recovering. Probably because they knew we were unhappy about the technician making her bleed right away following surgery. Also, this is posting as a different person. I am Michelle Brown and have the issue.

We are not happy with the way PAWS Pet Hospital handled our cat. The vet tech took out cat out of the room to do a simple weight and temp check. A few minutes later we heard our good natured kitty crying like she has never done before. They told us she didn't like the way they were holding her. Other vets are always telling us how good she is...she has never had any problems. Very much regret going to this clinic. The veterinarian herself was very nice and knowledgeable, however we won't be going back.

We can't say enough good things about PAWS and the wonderful people there. They always take extra time to explain everything and truly seem to care about your pet. Our dog has been there many times and since they treat him so well he can't wait to get in the door when we get there. Never had a dog excited to go to the vet before. They have great follow up and call multiple times if needed to see how he is progressing from the care plan. My wife and I joke we get more follow up and care explanation from PAWS than our own doctors. Five stars all day long!

I am sorry to say but DO NOT bring your dog to this place! Our first experience with them was fine and they seemed very nice, but if anything major actually happens to your dog on their watch, they turn into completely different people. I had one of the doctors actually yell, scream at me over the phone because I did not feel my dog got the attention she needed after a crisis surgery THEY caused. My dog went in for a tooth extraction and cleaning, and they discharged her only to find 6 hours later that they left a breathing tube stuck in her throat!!! She had to be rushed to the ER for yet another surgery to remove the obstruction. They wouldn't own up to the mistake, said it was our dogs fault, and laughed it off saying it wasn't a big deal. They didn't even offer to refund us any part of the surgery from their mistakes... Just a terrible experience overall. What was a routine surgery turned into a life threatening emergency and they did not even apologize for their malpractice. Our dog coughed and hacked for weeks following the surgery and the doctor who did the surgery could care less. All that to say, if anything goes wrong in your experience with them aka extra charges, wrongful diagnosis, malpractice, etc. just know you will have to pay for everything anyway! They do not care about you as a customer and definitely do not care about your dog. They are only in it for the money.

Pros: I feel they do a great job of caring for your pets and explaining all the possible avenues for treatment of your animal Cons: A little bit on the high end price wise from my experience and must think we have nothing better to do than cart our pets back and forth for follow up visits I've been going here since they opened and have been impressed with the level of service they provide. Enjoy dealing with the staff members as they have all been professional and extremely nice. The only annoyance is how many follow up visits they want for our animals. One of them once a month for six months and another in two weeks with another in three months. Also the price is on the high end from other clinics I've been too however for me it is worth paying a little more and getting better service.....you get what you pay for.
