Dr. Melco is absolutely AMAZING! I recently became a resident of Minnesota, and this weekend my 1 year old Maltipoo was in need of a doctor, and quick. I googled Veterinarians in my area, and by what I would consider fate, or more commonly known as luck, I found Paws and Claws. :) I was naturally a bit nervous, taking my dog to a complete stranger, especially with no personal referral. Also, please keep in mind, I have had some pretty bad experiences with blind google/yellow page searching in the past. ( I'm sure I'm not the only one LOL) When I called this morning at 10am to discuss the severity of my dogs symptoms, I also shared my schedule for the day, expecting not to see a Doctor until tomorrow. The receptionist took the time to listen and answer all of my questions. (Which I'm positive I sounded ridiculous, as I was in a huge panic over my baby's illness LOL) She kindly placed me on hold, to talk with the doctor. I was completely shocked when she said I could come tonight at 8pm. My thoughts driving to the appointment still didn't feel promising. I felt we were only going to hear the dreaded words " I don't know what is wrong, and we will continue to run tests." or in other words, we are going to make your bill crazy expensive, and leave you with a sick dog and no answers.) My family's experience this evening surpassed all expectations, it was incredible from start to finish! We were welcomed by the most sincere, genuine, warm hearted animal lovers. Then officially introduced to Dr. Melco and his assistant, who demonstrated efficient yet thorough questioning, and preformed all proper and necessary tests, which resulted in a rapid recovery plan for my little girl. What a breath of fresh air. It is so important to do what you love and never let your passion become work. . If your pet is sick, bring them here, . when jobs are preformed from the heart, and the focus is on what matters, and not the financial reward, wonderful things happen.
