My husband is in the military and this is the 4th vet that my dog has been to. The staff and veterinarians are knowledgeable and very helpful. I am leaving the country and the vet tech, Ann Marie, spent over an hour with me going over the paperwork - all free of charge! I love this office and I'm sad I have to move away from this wonderful clinic!

I've taken two animals into the clinic for regular check ups as well as special circumstances. The Vet Techs are friendly and knowledgeable. The Vets go above and beyond for you and your animal!

To sum it up: I love this place! I've been a dog owner for years and when I moved to the Twin Cities I was recommended to check out Westgate Pet Clinic. I've been bring my dogs there for four years now! Our vet really knows the dogs, the other staff recognizes them by name (including days we don't have an appointment!) and I love that you can talk to a Vet Tech or Vet on the phone if you have any questions or concerns. These guys and gals really know their stuff and they want what is best for your pets. I've always felt that they will work with you on deciding the best treatment plans and are actually willing to listen to you. They encourage questions and happily sit down and show you things in books, handouts, etc. They few times I have had immediate problems with my dogs they have fit me in right away. The only downside I can think of is how far away the clinic is from me after I moved out of Minneapolis. It is not easily accessible from any major highway, and the few that run close are always backed up with traffic. Otherwise, it is the perfect place to bring your pets to keep them safe, happy and healthy!

I have found that Westgate always encourages unncecessary testing which costs way more than it needs to and does not yield additional information. Recently I spent over $1,400 on a series of tests because my dog is excessively thirsty and since they have no conclusion they are recommending $600 more. They have repeated the urinalysis test three times saying it could have been contaminated (they asked me to collect the sample in a container they issued me). Why did they have me pay for a test they would consider invalid because it was home-collected?? I am switching to Uptown Vet.

Westgate is a clean and efficient office. I have brought my Vizsla here for three years and they have always been quick to set and keep appointments. I would recommend them to any dog owner.
