Smaller clinic. Lacking some basic equipment. Typical "prescription" foods. Did not provide any holistic treatment options and went right to recommending exploratory surgery. Staff was nice but did not leave consultation with any real answers.

Let me start off by saying that I called around a bit to get quotes on getting my cats baths and finally settled on this place mainly because of the price I was quoted. I scheduled an appointment about two weeks ago for three cats for three baths, three annual exams, and three rabies shots. Went in today to go to my appointment and the place was super ghetto-looking. The building is somewhat rundown and the walls and doors are all scratched up... I understand that this is a vet but I've been to other vets that look a million times better. Anyway, I had to take a half a day off work to take care of this. At that point, my cats were already in the car were stressed out, so I decided to just go with it, despite the appearance. They directed me to a room where the receptionist weighed my cats and then told me to wait for the "tech". The tech had ZERO personality and customer service. She came in and I asked her if I could leave (as I had discussed.... three of everything is going to take awhile and I didn't want to wait around), she didn't understand. I told her about the baths and the exams and the shots and she said "no, we're just doing the shots and exams today." Mind you, the whole reason I am here in the first place is to get my cats bathed and explained this to her and she left. 15 minutes later a dude in a lab coat (i'm assuming the vet - no introductions of course) comes in. He tries telling me that I'm lying and that he trusts Angela 100%. Why are you asking me what happened then? Why are you wasting more of my time? He then tries telling me that cats bathe themselves and that they don't really need baths. He basically told me that giving a bath or grooming an animal is "going above and beyond" for a vet. This coming from a vet that stated they DO baths! That's why I scheduled it! I don't know about you but I've been to a bunch of vets that include these services in their general practice and have never had this problem. He then proceeded to tell me I had to pay for them weighing my three cats, I basically told them to screw off and took my three cats and left. Ultimately, I wasted two weeks for this appointment for NOTHING. The people who work here are incompetent. And I wasted half my day and stressed my pets out for no reason. What a pathetic excuse for a business.

When I moved to Bloomington, I started using Dr. Cory for my aged Shih Tzu. I also got great help from them when I rescue adopted an older Schnauzer that turned out to have uncontrollable diabetes, and I had to make tough decisions. The care was gentle and friendly, and all the staff were helpful each time I went in. After a few blood sugars we had to start using a muzzle on the schnauzer as she got defensive, but I think any vet would, and it limited the amount of time the dog was under stress. The second vet is ok (not sure if she is still there), but Dr. Cory is my hands-down favorite.

1) They have a play-day Monday which is brilliant as our dogs became familiar and calm with every staffer and square-inch. This has made emergency visits much calmer and, I suspect, faster recovery due to lessened stress. 2) Dr Cory made a house call when our 17 y.o. basenji had to be put to sleep -- what a wonderful end; peaceful, and at home. Thanks Dr. Cory and everyone there.
