I think the Ark Animal Hospital needs to rethink their tagline "Hearts that Care". After calling this clinic with a very ill Shepherd, it was very clear that her "heart" just wasn't in it. Granted it was after hours on a holiday weekend, and I am not a "regular patient" as their voicemail said, but we were 4 hours from home and desperately in need of a vet. Besides, isn't that what emergency rates are for anyways? The inconvenience it causes? The woman I spoke with, who never bothered to identify herself, simply laughed at my concerns, and told me to drive to Bemidji as it was closer. I have to say I am glad I did. While it was an extra 10 miles for us (and I could care less about the distance), the Bemidji Vet Hospital was GREAT! So thank you rude lady at the Ark Animal Hospital for the recommendation, as it really did turn out for the best. I would never willingly entrust the care of my dog to someone so unprofessional, and lacking the basic customer service skills as yourself.
