I am really disappointed with my experience at Pine Cone Pet Hospital in Sartell. I brought in my cat Burton for a tail amputation. He had a deep cut on the end of his tail and Dr. Brown recommended amputation. The next day Burton had the amputation and I paid $625.00. We followed the instructions and brought Burton in two weeks later to have his bandage removed and for the area to be inspected. Dr. Brown said the tail looked and fine. (through research I did not feel like the surgery was done correctly. Burton had a inch of a vertebrae exposed) Well, the tail did not heal and I brought him in a few months later with some concerns. Dr. Brown informed me the end of his tail was dead and that it did not heal property. He said he would give me a goodwill discount and charge me only $300.00 to fix the tail. After speaking with co-workers and a client of mine it was brought to my attention that they also had problems with Pine Cone/ Dr. Browns treatments. I guess I was not the only one who felt like I was being over charged for treatments that were either unnecessary or necessary but that were not done incorrectly. I brought Burton to a another vet for a second opinion. Outcome was Burton's surgery was a hack job. Now because the tip of his tale is dead I am having it re-amputated for $325.00 at another clinic. And that is not their Goodwill discount. I do not usually write reviews, but I want to save other people money. Get a second opinion if you go to Pine Cone and remember you can get really awesome care at other clinics around the St. Cloud area.
We have been a part of the Pine Cone Pet Hospital family for the last couple of years, after our then, 2 year old Labrador, severely injured her knee and required major surgery to repair it. Dr. Brown took the time to explain all of our options, and didn't pressure us into anything - just explained the pros/cons to each procedure and what would provide Emma with the highest quality of life afterwards. We made the decision to go with TPLO surgery, and before performing it, Dr. Brown talked to us in detail about the commitment it would require of each of the family members in our home with the recovery afterwards. I appreciated his honesty, and how much time he took to talk us through everything. He got her into surgery within just a few days of the injury, and continued to check in with us afterwards to make sure everything was going ok! Because of our amazing experience with Pine Cone Pet Hospital, we have continued our ongoing care there and referred many friends/family as well! Dr. Brown and the rest of the staff are just amazing, and truly care about every single animal that comes through the door. We greatly appreciate everything they have done, and Dr. Brown has given our Emma the ability to be an active lab again! She runs around like nothing ever happened! We couldn't be more grateful! Thank you for everything!
Dr. Walker Brown and the entire team at Pine Cone Pet Hospital have taken wonderful care of my pets for the last 5 years. Last week we needed to say the dreaded good-bye to our beloved dog. Dr. Brown and his team were so kind and caring. Pine Cone Pet Hospital is the best veterinary care that my animals have ever received. If you are looking to switch vets you will not regret changing to Pine Cone Pet Hospital. They provide a high level of care with professionalism and caring hearts.
I recently had to take my Golden Retriever in to Pine Cone Pet Hospital because she had a suspicious looking lesion/mass on her lip. Dr. Brown took a look at "Sophie" and determined the mass should be removed immediately and sent off to a lab for evaluation. Unfortunately the mass was cancerous. However, the point of this review is that from the moment I entered the clinic I felt "Sophie" was in good hands. Dr. Brown was very sensitive to my concerns for my companion. He worked gently with "Sophie" and was able to get clean borders on the biopsy. I don't know how much longer "Sophie" will be with me, but I do know "Sophie" and I had a great experience at Pine Cone Pet Hospital.
Dr. Walker at Pine Cone Pet Hospital has tremendous compassion for his patients -- and their owners =) He does such a wonderful job of patiently explaining what is going on with your pet and helping guide you to the best decisions for both your pet and your budget. Thank you Dr. Walker for taking such good care of our sweet Bailey when she was having her "wobbliness". We were so afraid it was something serious - turns out it was just age - and when you are a fourteen year old labrador, age IS serious!!!! We appreciate your care and compassion so much!!!
