My positive rating is mainly for the veterinary hospital. The veterinarians there are amazing, caring and patient. They don't force you to run useless tests, they are very practical while also making sure the best action is taken for your pet. However, the boarding staff and office staff of this location is horrible. They are short, rude and lazy. Having veterinary hospital experience when I see people behaving this way it blows my mind. My dog got sick while in there care and no one mentioned it to me when I picked him up. When I brought my dog home his was digestively ill and got so sick. The boarding staff said it was new and he was totally fine, which is a lie. A dog doesn't get that sick in 5 minutes by bring him home. They vet I finally spoke to was very upset and apologetic that this had happened and prescribed antibiotics. Unfortunately, I was between two work trip and had to return my dog to the boarding place two days later with a full 5 day antibiotic prescription. He was only there for a night and when I picked him up they couldn't find his medicine and when I looked at the chart they gave me it appears they never gave it to him either. When I asked where his medicine was the office staff said "we must have given it all to him" aka. we are too lazy to go look and lied to me for the second time in a week. I have not returned and I don't plan too. Poor customer service speaks volumes
This is a fantastic office that has taken amazing care of my kitties! After connecting with this office through their work with the KC Pet Project I will never take my animals anywhere else.
I had a great experience today and so did my puppy. Staff is very friendly, receptionist was friendly and got all my paperwork done quickly. Price is very reasonable compared to other clinics and I got a free sample which my puppy loved. They do licensing for KC which not every clinic does, a nice perk. I will definitely be coming back.
Everybody is always nice and I feel like my pets are treated with respect. I have an older dog and Dr. Jones is always patient and kind to him. The techs are great, too.
I have been to Amity Woods Animal Hospital three times, and each time was made to wait 30 - 40 minutes before being seen. The actual appointment lasts 5 minutes at most and is followed by a hefty $46 bill. My previous vet charged $50 per visit, but never made me wait more than 5 minutes and was thorough. The doctors are very polite and kind, but the wait time is unacceptable.
