Dr. Fortey and his wife, Kathy, are the warmest, most caring veterinary staff I have ever met. My rescue dog came home with a severe viral illness, and Dr. Forney kept her overnight, gave her IV fluids and medications, ordered blood tests, and sent her home with special food and detailed instructions, all for a VERY reasonable fee. On top of that, after we moved, I still called Dr. Fortney when she had more issues, and he advised me gratis on home rememdies before sending me to a vet. You couldn't find a more honest, forthright veterinarian in KC MO.

Dr. Fortney is a really knowledgeable Vet. He is very nice and takes the time to spend with you and your pet. He listens to your concerns and helps in whatever way he can. The first time I took my puppy to see him he spent an hour just talking to me about crate training and the submissive peeing problem I was/am having with my puppy. He has been trying to work with my puppy to get the problem resolved. Best veterinarian I have seen, and I have been in 3 different states and had dogs for 8+ years.

Dr. Fortney is amazing with my dog and my parents' dogs!!! We have FINALLY found a vet in the Northland that we LOVE!!! Plus the prices are reasonable!!
