I can't say a whole lot that hasn't already been posted. Dr. Chip is simply a great vet. She goes to great lengths to provide good care and advice. She is very reasonable and efficient and provides her personal phone for after hours assistance, which is a great asset for an inexperienced owner of a young puppy! I have moved over an hour away since I started taking my dog to her and after seeing a couple other vets, I will make the trip to give her my business. Thanks Dr. Chip!

Great Vet and staff. They handle our difficult cats so well.

Dr. Chipperfield is the most amazing vet. My cat Squealer is very scared of vets, but that wasn't the case with Dr. Chip. She came to my apartment (isn't it amazing she does house calls?), and sat in the floor with him. She took the time to let him sniff her, then petted him before she started the exam. I've never seen a vet with a more tender touch. She treated him like he was a child. She's since made another house call for me, with the exact same results. I also took Squealer into her office once, and the care there was just as loving and compassionate as it was in my home. Her office staff, as well as the staff that accompany her on house calls, are every bit as loving as she is. I wish I would have known about her YEARS ago. I now tell everyone about her, trying to encourage them to change to her, and will never stop!!! She's our vet for life.

I went to Petsmart in Bansfield prior to going to Dr Chipperfield for a cyst to be examined on my sheltie's paw. After they had me leave my pet there for 4hrs they called and told me that they could not restrain my 33lb sheltie (and he is not a crazy dog)! They charged me $65 and basically did nothing for my dog! They were also planning on charging me another $160 to send out their sample for a cytologist report! Then I went to Dr Chipperfield, and my total visit time there was about 30 min. She was thorough and efficient in her diagnosis, and she did everything in her office (did not need to send out a sample to a cytologist) and was significantly cheaper than Petsmart! She was also very patient and took the time to get to know my pet prior to examining him. I highly recommend Family Animal Hospital for any pet owner seeking quality and affordable care!

We met this group while at the St. Louis Pet Expo. I think we pass 4-5 other veterinary clinics as we drive from U City out to their office. However, for us, it is worth the drive. No one cares for our animals the way Dr. Chipperfield has. She spends more time on the floor with them than talking to us.
