I heard great things about Dr. Berger but when I tried to make an appointment he didn't have anything available. I went ahead and made the appointment with Dr. Smith out of necessity. It was the best move I made for myself and my dog! She is wonderful! She takes good care of my elderly, temperamental, furry child and expertly explains whatever I need to know at each appt. Seeing your family pet grow older and working through the issues that go along with it are hard, but having a loving, caring, veterinarian is a big help. I highly recommend AHC to anyone who wants expert care for their pets.

Dr. Berger is our go to veterinarian for complex issues and equine artificial insemination. We have worked with Dr. Berger since 2002, first in Marshfield and now in Rolla. It is worth the 90 mile drive for us when we are dealing with anything beyond routine care. He stays up to date in his studies, accomplishes more laboratory work on site than most vets and keeps his charges very reasonable. He diagnosed and effectively treated a mare with a perforated septum and fungal infection that at least three other veterinarians had misdiagnosed. He and his staff worked diligently to find affordable care options that allowed us to save a valuable mare that other vets had told us was too far gone to help.

Dr. Berger and staff are really good. Dr. Berger has been a super diagnostician and surgeon for my many pets over the years. Very highly recommend! ! We love AHC.

Dr. Berger is, frankly, the best choice in Rolla if you're looking for a vet. He's very friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. He honestly loves animals and will do whatever necessary to help your pet. His staff is also wonderful. The vet techs always have time for you and are willing to work you in if it's an emergency or if you just have a busy schedule. We've taken our animals to both Dr. Brown and Dr. Janke and Dr. Berger is 100% better than both of them combined.
