i wont go any where else after my first few visits.they really treat my dog like their own dog.they are awsome!
Yes, they are friendly. However, I would rather have a vet that can save my animals life rather than a vet that will pet my animal and baby talk to it. I brought my dog, Zhivago, to Dr. Winfrey because she was scratching herself until she bled. Dr. Winfrey misdiagnosed my dog and we ended up having to put her to sleep. She said Zhivago had "dry skin" when it was actually "mange" (a life threatening skin disease). How someone could possibly get those two mixed up is puzzling to me. After that, I lost trust in her opinions. Recently, my cat has been scratching/ biting herself and she has tiny black dots near her ears and Dr. Winfrey says it's nothing. Hmmm... is it just dry skin this time? She does obviously care about the animals and she is very kind to them.
My son's dog, they were best friends and each other's world, tragically passed away today after rushing to this office yesterday. Dr. Winfrey looked at her, treated her with kind respect and explained what might have been the problem in great detail with patience to a child who was very scared about their dog but they had to keep our dog for the night to do blood work and start treatment. She did everything she could, but our dog was just to sick to make it. Dr. Winfrey said that she would call us if there was any change for the worse, she even went in to the office at 1 am to check on our dog. What truly blew me away, and helped our family through this now even tougher holiday season, was that she did not charge us anything for all the services she had provided. This is a vet office that went above and beyond, out of their kindness and love for animals. I will definitely be taking all my business to them and referring all my friends to them as well.
They are so awesome!! As long as we are here my babies will go there! They treat animals with. Respect and love and they DO NOT OVER PRICE anything. They treat owners with respect and show you they just want help and do what is best for your pet! They give you appts really fast and emergency care is not hard to get! This place is the best in the area!!
Dr. Winfrey doesn't have that "BAM! I'm an awesome vet!" sort of aura that my previous vet had, but the more I have gone to see her, the more I really like her. She obviously cares about the animals and works around their quirks, rather than forcing them to do what she needs them to do. She doesn't say much and is pretty quick/efficient, so it may seem like she's just in and out, but if you ask her any questions at all, she answers them and takes the time with you until you're satisfied. Every time I've seen her, my confidence has grown that I chose the right place to take my cat for his care. Perhaps most important, I have no qualms about leaving him overnight on a weekend!! Dr. Winfrey personally checked on him and called me to bring him home on a snowy Saturday night after he left them a urine sample we were waiting on, and this was when I didn't expect to be able to pick him up until sometime Sunday -- especially with the thick snow that weekend. Very hands-on, which is something you don't always get from vets anymore.
