this is a good place to take your pets at i took my dog and cat there and got excellent help and care the prices are affordable and they serve your pet with care
Do NOT take your pets, of any kind, to this place. A foster kitten was taken there to be spayed and given her shots on a Wednesday morning. The kitten was sent back to the shelter when a staff member said the kitten had "ringworm". The kitten didn't have ringworm, it had ROUNDWORM. I like to know what idiot at Countryside doesn't know the difference?! What now turns out to be an unfortunate situation: the kitten was returned to Countryside for her spay and shots on a Thursday. She was picked up on a Saturday morning and when returned to the shelter was unable to walk without falling over. She was staggering around like she was suffering from nerve damage. This one healthy kitten will ultimately be put to sleep because of the carelessness of the staff at Countryside. I checked on the kitten on Monday afternoon and she has not improved. I know they allow vet students behind the scenes and I hope they did not let one of them touch this poor kitten and damage it for life. PLEASE, If you love you pet, DO NOT TAKE IT TO THESE BUTCHERS!!!
Our family has been taking animals to Countryside for almost 20 years now. They are WONDERFUL at Countryside. The vets, techs, and office staff really care about your animals and are honest about their opinion of your animal's care. The only negative is they are a little more costly than other vet offices in the area, but the price is more than worth it to me for how much I trust them with the care and health of my animals. I have hated the periods where I lived out of town and always came back to St. Joseph to have my animals seen because of the family atmosphere we have developed with the employees at Countryside. I will never go anywhere else.
They are really kind, do a good job and have a nice office. The only thing I didn't like were the prices. They just did a whole bunch of things without asking, then charged me for them. If price isn't a concern, I highly recommend them!
We went to countryside when we lived in St. Joseph. Now we live in Arkansas, but our family still lives in the area. When we were gone from home for several weeks, our family in NW Missouri dog-sat for us and had to take our dog to countryside for ringworm. When we brought him back to Arkansas we needed to get more medication, but didn't want to have to take him into the vet here after he had just been seen at Countryside. We called Countryside and they called a perscription in to a pharmacy here in Arkansas for us.
