Our dog had very severe stomach issues so we took him to Carlson Pet Hospital. The morning we took him in, Dr. McIntyre called me right away and asked if I wanted him to check his blood and do some x-rays (due to his weight loss and condition). Once this was completed, Dr. McIntyre called me that same morning, letting me know that his kidneys were in very bad condition. Dr. McIntyre was very straight forward and didn't sugar coat anything. He gave me his options and our dog ended up improving over the weekend. His numbers drastically went down. Dr. McIntyre checked on him throughout the next couple of weeks and he was always very responsive to my phone calls. He discussed everything in detail and gave me encouragement when our dog continued improving. I would recommend Dr. McIntyre due to the treatment that was given to our dog and the continued support. The front desk was also very supportive and friendly when I came in each time.

Dr. Carlson is fair, knowledgeable, and thorough in her examination of my cats and has always been realistic and conservative in her treatment of them. She tells you the truth and respects your choice to follow her advice, or not. Our emergencies have been dealt with promptly and I've never been treated badly for not doing "regular checkups" and other silly rules that some vets make you follow in order to be seen. Office staff can sometimes be a bit slow and could be a bit more proactive. But I go there for the vet, not them. Highly recommended.

Dr. Carlson and staff were absolutely wonderful with my dog. I recently moved here and was referred to Carlson Pet Hospital by some friends who have gone there for 20+ years. I'm glad I took their advice! I will not go anywhere else and highly recommend anyone looking for a vet to visit Carlson Pet.

Dr. Carlson and her team are the most professional veterinarians I've used. Except when I lived in another state, I've been going to CPH since the 1970s (Dr. Carlson's father opened the clinic). They are warm, compassionate and up-to-date on treatment. They offer options and make suggestions. Be sure to ask questions - they don't mind. I've gotten lots of good information that way. They've always gone above and beyond in the care of my cats and grand-dog. I've recommended them many times to friends and co-workers. Be sure to say hi! to Larry the Cat when you go - he's the official greeter!

Since I have moved to Springfield, Mo., I have only used two Veterinarians, one for my pet rats, and Dr Carlson for all my Dogs and cats over the years. I have never felt the need to go anywhere else. The doctors and the staff are all very friendly and professional, and they are willing to give you any information they can about your pet, and if that person does not know they will ask someone who does. The service I receive here in comparable to that I receive at my own physician and often exceeds it. Once you have used Carlson Pet Hospital, you won't feel the need to go anywhere else.
