Both of my dogs had been patients here for years, and the service had been just fine. I liked them a lot for just regular check ups or on the random occasion one of my dogs got sick and I needed them. I learned a few weeks ago that I can NOT count on them when I really need them and will NOT be going back. I called them in a panic when one day when my larger dog attacked my little dog over a toy. (This was completely unexpected, and out of character) Anyway, my little one ended up with several puncture wounds and a cut on her neck by the time I could get them broken up. I was of course crying and frantic when I called them on the phone asking for help, and even though I don't live far and it wouldn't take me more then 10 minutes to get there they told me to go to the emergency Vet instead because they closed in 20 minutes..... Any Vet that cares more about getting home on time than helping their long term patient who is bleeding and in need of care is not the Vet I'm going to trust with my babies.

I came home to find that my house cat had captured a beautiful little dove. I was able to get the bird away from the cat, but it was in pretty bad shape. I didn't want to have to kill it, but I didn't want it to suffer either. I called Sunshine Animal Hospital and they volunteered to treat the Dove free of charge. It was an answer to my prayer. Thank you Sunshine Animal Hospital. God Bless you for caring enough to attempt to save this little creatures life.

They have been taking care of my large dog since he was a puppy. He is now 4. They handle him very well, especially with his size and strength. I understand that they make their money by the extras they sell such as tests to do and flea and tick items. I just get what I need and then by the topical meds elsewhere.

We left for a week to Washington State, and we left our dog there. They told us that they didn't need anything of ours. When we called twice they gave a generic answer, "Oh he's fine, just great, so sweet!" But when we returned, he had lost 3 lbs (he only weighed 16 to start) and he was sick and had scabs on his nose. Never again.

This vet has caused me to seek out a new vet as their pricing is horrible. 1 rimadyly pill for pain cost $10.00. However as a senior on a fixed income...got what I needed the one pill...from now on will order from petmeds and keep a supply on hand.
