I was only there one time, so my review might not be considered fair. I did not have a good experience with this Doctor or staff. I went in on a day that NO ONE was even in the waiting room. I had to wait a very very long time for the doctor. It was over 45 minutes, i believe I finally got a room after 45 minutes and then had to wait in the room for the doctor to show for like another 40 minutes. While I was waiting, the staff was very nice, however, one lady gave my dog continuous treats. Like ALOT of treats, like more than 8, and treats are not proper as a meal for my dog, my dog is very little. I don't know, maybe you think I'm being prissy about that, and I guess it wasn't that big of a deal, it's just I didn't want my dog to have all treats as a meal from the staff. In the staff lady's defense, she might have thought that she was being nice. Then when the doctor FINALLY showed up after about an hour and a half he took my dogs legs and popped the knees in and out of socket and said, "Did you know that your dog has bad knees?" I went there only one time and it was a very long time ago, but it made me uncomfortable and that single event of him popping my dogs knees made me not want to go back. I'm sure that the doctor didn't mean any harm and he probably knows what he is doing, It just made me feel uncomfortable. I was feeling sorry for my dog having it's knees popped although maybe I'm being overprotective, I don't know. One thing good that the staff lady did do was tell me about this particular hair cutter for dogs in troy that I had taken my dog too, they said that most people do not like her and that I shouldn't take my dog to her and they were so right. I should have never taken my dog to her.
After moving into Troy, I brought our Mastiff's to LCAH after being referred by my mother in-law. I was used to taking them to Webster Groves, where the Dr just came on it, did whatever they wanted to your animal without asking your budget and then expecting you to pay the bill. Let me just say this, when you have 3 large Mastiffs, you need good, quality vet care at a reasonable expense. The staff are the most pleasant I have ever dealt with, and my dogs know they are truly being cared for. When we would go to other vet offices, you could tell my girls did not like the staff there. When we go here, their tails wag from the moment they come through the door until they get into the car when were done. I have had a few emergencies with my oldest, and they have welcomed her with open arms. I could NEVER imagine going to another vet. Aside from taking care of my babies, the vets are personable to my family as well. They always ask how things are going in everyday life. Sonja, Angel and Bella give 2 paws up :)
I had a dachshund with trauma to his eye. I called them Saturday morning and although I was a new customer, they let me come in immediately. The Dr and the staff are very friendly and I will definitely return for future business.
