This year my three year old German Short-haired Pointer, Rowdy, had some rough luck. Early in the year he suffered from a torn cruciate which was repaired at Cross Creek Animal Hospital. The care he received there was second to none and I was very impressed with the doctors and staff. A few months ago, Rowdy was hit by a car and had to undergo yet another orthopedic surgery. Once again he received excellent care. I would recommend Cross Creek Animal Hospital for any of your pet's needs. :-)
The staff here is amazing, as well as the care my dog received. The problem is the Vet, Dr. Tolliver. It is so very awkward because she yells at her staff and I saw her slams doors and heard her slinging stuff around! The assistants tried to smile and be polite as she was disrespecting them in front of me, (and other clients) but it is just too weird. The first time I assumed there was something wrong like maybe the assistant made a mistake or something, after that I started thinking she is just a very angry, sarcastic person. It makes me feel very uncomfortable. I worry if she is like that around me, what is she doing with pets? I have never had to leave my dog, but I have switched vets just incase.
Hey! We do NOT euthanize animals from any shelter, Richland or otherwise!! We don't know how this started, but it is not true. I think you have us confused with another clinic. Thanks!
I have been at Fort Leonard Wood for almost year. I have used this vet twice since I have been here. They have worked me in same day both times I called and fixed my dogs allergy problems on both occasions. They are very nice, helpful and professional. No one has a "superior attitude". The vet even got on the floor with my dog to check him out. Super nice! Probably will not even bother going on post again..this place is way better! (and affordable!)
I had recently adopted a cat there and they gave me a sick cat. My cat had ear mites(which can cause deafness) and tape worms(which causes a cat to loose nutrients). We called up there because she had been having diarrhea after about a week we had her. They told us everything was fine and it was just from the change in food and stress. I knew my cat wasn't stressed so I said ok maybe it was the change in food. Well she continued to have a soft stool and then I found a piece of a tapeworm that I brushed off her tale. I called up to the hospital to see if they would take care of it since she had been having an issue since we had had her. They said that it wasn't their financial responsibility to take care of that and we'd have to pay for everything. They had a cheaper adoption fee than most other places did, but now I know why. They give you sick cats. So now I will never go back. Besides if your cat is ever sick overnight, they don't have after hours and the vet won't come meet you there. You have to drive all the way to Columbia, MO in order for someone to take care of your animal.
