Wonderful care for my dog Nikki who tore her ACL. Dr. Paine explained the injury, the consequences, the alternatives, the treatment, the future in thorough detail. I wish my human doctors were this informative. Great job on the surgery, she is healing well. Russell Animal Hospital is great.

I do not recommend this place at all. We are changing vets because each time my boyfriend and I leave here, we feel terrible. The ladies at the desk are great, friendly and caring, but the two female doctors we had experiences with were horrible. They were condescending and rude and spoke down to us as if we were children. One doctor tried to jump down our throats and say that our puppy is illegal because I simply didn't have the flight information/ paperwork on me at the time. On the second occasion, the vet allowed the technician to get bit and informed us that this was "something we needed to work on." The puppy was 11 weeks old so I have no idea how they allowed themselves to get bit when it is their job to put a dog in a safety hold while giving injections. We are friendly, caring people and just can not get over how terrible we felt after these appointments. We are changing vets and I would like to warn others that this could happen to them.

We've been taking our cats to Russell Animal Hospital for about 40 years. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the veterinarians are excellent. Our calls are always answered promptly. Recently, another of our cats was diagnosed with a condition requiring prescriptions. The attending vet called us with instructions after our appointment and then followed up several times to see how things were going. There are not enough stars to reflect how highly I recommend Russell. I would give it 10 or 100 or 1,000,000 stars if it were possible. We even receive sympathy cards when a pet passes away.

I have taken many animals, including some very ill, to this hospital over the last 12 years and have had excellent service from all the vets, including those referred to below. The vets to a person have been caring, competent and great to deal with, including when I have had to make the decision to put down a well-loved pet.

I have used Russell Animal Hospital for all my veterinary needs since 1988. They have cared for my numerous dogs from puppyhood into adulthood through the senior years until end of life care, with knowledge, skill, and compassion. In the process they have educated me and I am a better pet owner because of them. Every member of the staff from receptionists to technicians to the doctors is friendly and kind. Each one is willing to go out of their way to help make each visit a positive experience. I have often thanked them privately and now am pleased to be able to do so publicly.
