Dr. Bassett has been the vet for my two poodles for 10 years, and we LOVE him. He carefully considers all symptoms, and has effectively cared for them both. He also puts the poodles' moms at ease with his wonderful perspective. I highly recommend Dr. Bassett and his exceptional practice; the staff is FANTASTIC. Thanks for the great care - we've been so lucky!

Veterinarians Steven Bassett, Lauren Hill and Ann Lindsey were my dogs' vets from 1991-2013, when I regretfully had to leave their practice due to moving out of state . They lovingly cared for all of my dogs through the years, giving me tactful advise and nonjudgemental support whenever I needed it. They are warm, caring and genuinely kind people who truly love pets. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I called Exeter Veterinary Hospital yesterday morning to see about getting my dog in who developed an ear infection the prior evening. I just moved to the area and haven't had time to find a vet yet but emergencies come up so I called. They told me that if I was a regular they could get me in that day but because we are not a regular patient they couldn't get my dog in for over a week! I asked what I was supposed to do in the meantime, just let my poor dog sit with an ear infection? She didn't seem to care even when I told the receptionist that I was new to the area which is why I didn't have a primary vet yet. I figured if they were fine with letting my dog sit with an ear infection for over a week I certainly didn't want them treating my dog for anything else. What a terrible vet hospital. (BTW- was able to get in yesterday and my dog is on the mend!).

This is the best vet practice in the seacoast area! I came here after another local vet did not properly diagnose my cat's issue. The 3 vets at this practice are the most caring and compassionate vets I know. I drive over 30 mnutes to get there - passing at least 3 other vet offices and would not have it any other way.

I have been with Doctor Bassett for over 20 years. His diagnosis is always right on and he shows such compassion and love for animals. You truely know you are getting the best care for your pet from him. His staff is both friendly and helpful. I would feel lost without knowing he is there for me and my pets..I had a really tuff time with one of my dogs. It took 3 months of trying different medicines and a lot of patience from Dr. B, since I was calling and bringing in my dog constantly. I had to take my dog to the emergency room one night and they suggested he be put down that there was nothing they could do. Dr. B never gave up and when a new drug came out he said lets try this and it worked. I had my baby another 8 years. Hope this review lets you know that you won't find a better Vet.
