I was recommended to this place many years ago by a former employee that worked there. And I have to say, I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Dr. Grau is excellent, and I think once people started getting wind of this place, she was booked up. We now see Dr. Roche, and she is the only one (besides Dr. Grau) that my sheltie will go to. The facility is very clean, and they are very inexpensive for a vet's office. The only issue I have is that some of the women at the front desk are very rude, particularly, Marlo. Every time I go in, I pray that I do not get her during the check-out. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place. I drive about an hour to get there, when there are about 5 other vets (that I know of) closer to me!

very inexperienced vet techs who play know it all and don't even know the proper dose of anastisia to give a cat who could have died if this know it all shot my cat up with that dosage. hopefully she is no longer there. have not been happy with this hospital either, although much cheaper and have a little more concern about an animal than newton vet hospital. i used to go to dr gray at newton vet hospital until he killed two of my pets, and nearly killed one of my cats. i started to go to freedon animal clinic which used to be run by dr bridenbaugh. needless to say i have to find a dr like the old owner of this facility. dr bridenbaugh saved several of my animals, and my animals always loved him, even though he didn't have the best personality with humans he was an extrordinary vet. the length of my pets lives under this drs care....three dogs, one lived 15 years, one lived 19 years, and one lived 17 years.thrree cats, one lived 25 years, this was the cat that brought me to dr bridenbaugh to begin with when dr gray failed. the other two cats lived 20 years and 18 years. you know you have a good vet when your pets live that long and a vet does everything in his power to save that animal. he also wasn't concerned with money. he didn't care if you had money as long as you paid what you were ablet to each month, and there were times he never charged me. i totally miss that dr, and his wife, i've never had a vet that my animals loved as much as him.

Dropped puppy off for neuter and they weighed him and asked for Rabies and Distemper forms. No issues there, in fact the receptionist was very nice. My wife then goes to collect my dog and they charge $16 for the protective collar that was not neccesary as he was not trying to get to the stitches..I can live with that but then as we are about to leave they ask for an additional $20 because he was over 50lbs....he was 50.2 lbs. 0.2 costs $20 extra? Really? I would not of had an issue if this was explained proir either on the phone or when I dropped him off. It just seemed slightly unprofessional. Not to say it is a bad hospital because it is not however, I do recommend people check costs and details before admiting their pets.

Incredibly rude receptionist named Marlo. I am new to the area and as I had some questions, I thought I'd telephone, but I will not be taking my business to Fredon now as I will not be treated with disdain.

The workers at the front desk were courteous. The facility was very clean. The Dr. was nice and was very prompt in caring for my cat. They didn't try to sell me unessesary products or other treatments that always seem pointless and expensive. The fee schedule for treatments was very reasonable. Some places in the Newton area cost more for animal care than similar human healthcare. I would recommend this place and will return if my cat has any problems in the near future.
