Not very clean. Wait time is long, even when no one is waiting for an appt. Needs improvement. But I find the vets to be honest as far as what shots my dog really needed.

Long time customer, My dogs doctor left this hospital. The new doctor that was going to take over would not refill my dogs prescription without the additional costs of bringing my dog in for tests that I could not afford. Now I have to watch my dog suffer till I can afford to take him elsewhere.

I went to the most wonderful Vet today!!! It's called Colonie Animal Hospital and Dr. Newman is the most efficeint, gentle, intellegent, and rational Vet that I have ever encountered. Carmine does have ellavated liver enzymes, but only one kind, all the others are pretty much okay. He gave me a liquid anti-bioctic and told me it was okay to keep cleaning his ears!!! No drama - no injections - no going to the vet every day - (the way Central Vet made it sound life threatening - and charged me for emergency care as well - like last time with Pede-O). If Carmine doesn't act sick, we call in 10 days and have one specific blood test done on his liver and take it from there. The staff were all completely friendly and happy - there is even a woman that looks exactly like "Rachel" from "Friends" - I'm so much more relaxed and confindent. I trust Dr. Newman completely - and trust doesn't come easy for me. If you click on Central Vet Hosp - 388 Central Ave - Albany - you will see the review I wrote on them I filed a formal complaint and they are under investigation. They abandoned my cat in mid treatment and treated both my cat and me like we weren't good enough to be at their facility. Hopefull Donna Strovi loses her license and gets a huge fine along with Central Vet. Colonie Animal Hospital are the most efficient, gentle, caring, intellegent, and rational animal care I have ever encountered. I would definitley recommend bring your critter there - they even take care of birds and reptiles. (and the front desk chic look just like "Rachel" from the show "Friends" !!!

We recently have acquired a new puppy and not only did CAH take us in the same day we called, they explained everything that we could do to make sure our pet was ok but they also told us candidly about what procedures are absolutely necessary to which ones would be nice to do. It is my opinion that CAH employs a very friendly, competent and caring staff, from the technicians to the vets themselves.
