I have been using this veterinary practice for over 6 years. It is a small country vet, simple but very good. Dr. Phillips has since retired and they have new, young vets working. I have always been able to get an appointment that was convenient for me within a short amount of time and the prices can not be beat. They are very reasonable and this allows me to take my many foster/rescue dogs in for their treatment. The staff knows me by name when I call and are very pleasant as well. I drive all the way from Buffalo because I can afford the care they give. If you are looking for a very fancy, high tech office- this is not what you get. Dr. Phillips office is associated with a horse farm and nothing too fancy. I will continue to go there for many years into the future.
I took my cat Kira to this veterinarian's office today and it was a nice experience for my cat ( I know my cat, she was relaxed with them during the visit and has been fine since we went there today ) and a stress free experience for me. Pleasant place to take a pet and I intend this Veterinarian Team being who does care for my cat. Dr Philips has retired due to health issues though he has in place here in Batavia a well working Veterinarian Office.
I took my dog here to get neutered and I had no problems... took him in and few hours later came back to pick him up... everything was fine.. never had any problems with him after that... its a very clean place, everyone was really nice and the price to get everything done was amazing!! No complaints about this... i recommended him to plenty of people after and no complaints
**DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS VET** I wish there were a NO STAR rating option... Mr. Phillips is an elderly man with Parkinson's disease. He visibly shakes and should NOT be handling animlas or performing surgeries. I did not meet the doctor until AFTER he performed neutering on our dog. It took over three weeks for our dog to heal, as the "doctor" caused internal bleeding, causing massive bruising as well as prolonged bleeding at the wound site, swelling, discomfort and unnecessary pain. The dog would not eat and had blood in his stool for days following surgery. In addition, the office cancelled and re-scheduled our dog's surgery THREE times, two of these times I actually brought the dog in for sugery and the dog ended up staying the day at the vet while I was at work, not realizing the procedure was not performed until I picked him up. Meanwhile the dog had fasted all night and morning both times. At the post-op appointment, I entered the waiting area and heard 2 employees dealing with animals in the back room - they were swearing at the animals (f'n cat, etc) - not being at all kind. These are women in their 50's or 60's - assistants to the doctor. Absoultely the worst experience ever. This doctor SHOULD NOT be handling animals. He is over 90 years old with very serious health issues. He should know better than to endanger the health of people's beloved pets. VERY unprofessional and DANGEROUS in my opinion. My opinion is based on a very real experience: SHAME ON DR. PAUL PHILLIPS!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE FOR ANYTHING!!!!!
