Our dog Emma The Dog was injured in a run in with a deer last weekend and my wife posted request for referral to a vet clinic open on Sunday. We have been to others in Bedford/Katonah and not happy with service and cost. some referred us to the Animal Health Center and emergency veterinary clinic in Briarcliff Manor 513 North State Road. Wow, what a great experience. Dr. Haroush took care of our dog, spent a good deal of time with us and the facility is terrific. in addition, they threw in a free medicated bath, flea and tick treatment and nail clipping......really!!! And the price for the emergency service to help our dog was very reasonable. while waiting for my dog to be blown dry, they took me on a tour of the facility and it is a terrific place for boarding for the day, exercising and interacting your dog, etc. Really clean, new, good feel inside, a bit like a giant fancy art gallery. highly recommend this facility and Dr. Haroush for bedside manor, price for value and just plain nice people. The list is endless. Dr. Haroush will do ANYTHING to make money. Treat when there is no hope except to pay for his new building; lead clients on. Keep their pet at your expense when they cannot pay his inflated bill. Send an outrageous bill to a rescue/shelter if anyone dares to drop off a stray. His latest invention...club WAG daycare. Where he is happy to take your money and keep the dog in a cage until 10am when his staff arrives and recage it at 6pm when they leave. In between? No need to pass a test to see if your dog is social (simple, he goes back in the cage if he cannot play or Dr. Haroush can stitch him at your expense if someone attacks him). No need to have a spayed or newtered dog (simple, he can stay in the cage or he can take care of a pregnancy too at your expense). The one thing he cares about...'we can catch up your dog on his vaccines if your vet doesn't do them often enough'. That's convenient isn't it. Run, don't walk, to ANYONE else.

I brought my cat in to Dr. Haroush after visits with another vet, whose diagnosis of my cat's condition were inconclusive and treatment ineffective. Dr. Haroush knew immediately what the problem was and gave us options and information on treatments, which have ultimately worked. He was passionate, warm, personable and very down to earth and his staff was professional and friendly. I don't think I could find a better vet than Dr. Haroush.
