To the idiot above who was gripping about VERG not seeing your cat!! Obviously the first two places you took your cat did not know what they were doing and robbed you of your money. That is why you tried to bring it to the hospital. It's an EMERGENCY hospital, do you think they have time to sit and hear about how come you can't pay? I do not work for VERG but i know they have a fantastic staff there and they work very hard everyday and ALWAYS put their patients first!!!

FAIR WARNING: VERG sets their priorities as PROFIT before the HEALTH OF THE ANIMAL PATIENT. I was just refused treatment for my cat because I can't pay the exam fee up front. I explained to them that I just spent $1100 at a previous 24-hour emergency clinic, and another $1000 at my regular day-veterinary clinic over the past week, and wouldn't have any money available until tomorrow or Sat since TODAY IS THANKSGIVING and all the banks and post offices are closed. The doctor then said: "Oh... would you excuse me? I have an emergency I need to tend to." and hung up. Definitely NOT a place that cares about animals or establishing a good business rapport. I will never go there, and caution others against doing so.
