After we moved a few years ago, we kept our normal vet in Poughkeepsie. Our four cats were all pretty healthy and we liked our vet. When one of our cats began hiding, a common sign of trouble in cats, and our regular vet in Poughkeepsie didn’t have anyone who could see him, I took him to Dr. Tucker at Round Top. I’m very glad I did. Dr. Tucker and her staff are incredible, compassionate, and communicative. As we worked together to find a diagnosis I always felt completely informed as to what Dr. Tucker was thinking, what the process was, and what I should be looking for. After determining it was a neurological problem Dr. Tucker referred us to a neurologist, who found two distinct masses in our cat’s brain, one of which was inoperable. Once again Dr. Tucker and her staff were fantastically helpful and worked with us to make our cat’s last few weeks as happy and normal as possible. I’m happy that Dr. Tucker and her staff will be seeing our other healthy cats for regular checkups, and in the event of any health problems, minor or serious, in the future.
Dr Tucker and the entire staff at Round Top are simply amazing. My pets have been clients since Dr. Tucker opened her practice and I cannot say enough about the level of professionalism, knowledge and care provided since day one. It took many years to find a Dr with such compassion and dedication . We would never go anywhere else
Best. Veterinarian. Ever. Not only is Dr. Tucker awesome (so smart, so kind, such an amazing bedside manner), but her staff is equally as fabulous. Many times the staff at Roundtop has gone above and beyond (as has Dr. Tucker!) for my cherished animals and their needy mama. Go there!
Dr. Tucker is knowledgeable, practical and kind. Her diagnostic skills are superb and her recommendations based on a sound scientific approach while taking into account the pet's and owner's needs at the same time. Her staff is generous, gentle, and enthusiastically helpful. They have all, including Dr. Tucker, gone far and beyond all standards to be helpful in obtaining records, medications and explaining elements of care and standards. I have been to many vets with many different pets and will happily return to Dr. Tucker's office whenever the need arises for my pet's care.
Dr. Tucker is knowledgeable, kind and confident. We are quite pleased with our veterinarian. And she's done more than provide our cat with typical vaccinations. I can't speak for the conditions in the back, but I doubt the reviewer who says the animals died for "no reason" actually has first-hand knowledge of their prior conditions. As for the kitten that another reviewer stated died needlessly during a routine neutering, everyone should know that with any case where anesthesia is involved, including in humans, things can go wrong. Undergoing anesthesia can be very dangerous and risky, and anesthesia-related deaths are not as uncommon as some apparently think; nor can they be foreseen by the unfortunate doctor who happened to be performing the surgery.
