Greenvale Veterinary Group is the very best place to care for your pet! From the front desk staff, to the compassionate assistants, to the doctors, the entire group is sweet, super caring with your pet, and incredibly knowledgable. Dr. May is a walking encyclopedia of animal medicine - his bookshelf includes 'ophthalmology for reptiles,' 'cardiology for dogs,' gastroenterology for cats,' etc. He takes care of my dog and rabbit, as well as my sister's cats. We are so grateful to have him as an extended part of our family. I couldn't imagine entrusting my pets' care anywhere else!

I have had animals my entire life, and have used a few different Vet practices. Dr May is HANDS DOWN the best Veterinarian I have ever encountered. He is very smart, very skilled, and possesses warmth and compassion to both the owners and their pets. He is up on all the latest medications and treatments, and will do whatever it takes to help. I cannot recommend him more highly.

This is where we take all our pets if they have a life threatening situation. The prices are high (all long island vets are) , but a lot cheaper that anywhere else and the care they provide is great.

The Roslyn Greenvale veterinary group was the worst experience I have ever had. Let me repeat, it was the worst experience I have ever had! My cat became very ill after I had boarded her there, so I took her back to be treated by the vets. Biggest mistake. They were not able to diagnose her problems because I wouldn't allow blood tests, fine. They treated her with antibiotics and IV, yet her fever was still spiked. Being a very concerned pet owner, with a very high bill, I tried to tell them that I didn't think it is fair being that I honestly feel like she got sick at the facility when she was boarded there. This infuriated them. They became defensive, fighting back with me, actually hung up the phone on me at one point, etc. I took the liberty to go into the facility to talk with Dr. Marder face to face. I saw him in the window when we pulled up, but as we walked in he refused to come out to speak with me! I had no idea how my cat was doing, or what her status was, and he was too busy to speak with me, even though unfortunately he was caring for my animal. So he sends out the manager vet tech, Emily, who was even more difficult to have a conversation with, as she took everything I was saying personal and letting her emotions get to her. She wouldn't listen to me or answer my questions at all, and at one point walked away from me because I turned to ask the desk clerk a question, mid conversation. It was utterly the most disgraceful display of "customer service" I have seriously ever seen. I will speak with the co-owner, Dr. May about this but I do NOT recommend this vet to anyone who cares about their animal, because this place will rack up the bill and then if you question them, they won't provide answers and become defensive. I seriously felt like I was dealing with a bunch of children. In addition to being treated horribly, I dont trust that they really took good care of my cat, she came out dirty, unbrushed, etc. I feel so terrible for putting my animal through such torture and mistreatment.
