After moving from FL several years ago, we were in need of a great vet. Based on a recommendation, we came to Dr. Wyler and the Animal Hospital and are so thankful we did! Our 13 year old dog was always treated respectfully, promptly, and with great care. The staff and doctors are knowledgable and extremely professional. When our dog fell ill with cancer, they treated our dog like one of their own. We are so appreciative of all they did for us and would recommend them to anyone!

Can't say anything wrong about this place, everything that a Canine needs in order to be healthy and stress free when coming to get their vaccinations is here. We love going in the early morning and no matter what day it is the staff are with a smile and ready to help and they love animals like we do. Wouldn't trust another clinic Skarlet & Juelz

My Jack Russell, Jackie, fell violently ill recently. He had uncontrollable nausea, shaking and in general was scared. I have never seen this dog show an ounce of fear or cry in pain in the 12 years he has been my dog. It was obvious there was something very wrong with him. The staff at the Animal Medical Hospital in Hempstead quickly diagnosed his problem as pancreatitis brought on by an intestinal blockage and his age. Surgery removed the blockage and medication relieved the pain. One week after the surgery Jackie was running around with the energy of a puppy again. My dog was reborn. I will be forever grateful of the care and attention he received at the Animal Medical Hospital. I was kept well informed and Jackie was well cared for. I was scared it was the end for Jackie, but Doug and his staff saved my dogs life.

I shopped around for a vet. I found Animal Medical Hospital by accident, and I will tell you it is not nearly as expensive as other full service Vets. They do care about the animals, and my animals are well taken care of. I can always get an appointment that suits my schedule. And the diagnosis is always right on. So with regard to the Walletectomy review, If you do not drive, that would be your problem, not the Vet's problem. And of course they need to see the animal! "You" as the owner are not qualified to diagnose your pet (because if you were, you would not need a Vet in the first place). If the Vet was to take the owners word on what the owner "thinks" is wrong with a pet and the pet dies who's fault would that be... So use your head before you write review without thinking about your actions first.

I posted an earlier review stating that I was disappointed by the service I received from this hospital. That review was posted on the same day, the receptionist at the hospital refused to schedule an emergency appointment for my dog. Shortly thereafter, I spoke to Dr. Wyler to advise him what transpired. He was upset at the treatment I received and has made every effort to correct the issue so that no other patients will be treated like that. Although I was very upset the day I was told that the hospital could not see my dog, I realize that it was truly an anomly and not how this hospital treats its patients.
