I've taken my pet to many Banfields and this one was one of my favorites. The doctors and assistants did everything they could to help ease my puppies nerves and anxiety at the visits. Other Banfields would just jump right in and do the routine checkup. The Doctor at this location also seemed to better diagnose issues. Some doctors at other locations would suggest high priced testing for rare infections that cause itching, rather than treat or test for the most common possible issues first. Overall, I rate Ithaca a 10.

Do Not Bring Your Pet To Banfield. I brought my sick cat into Banfield Hospital yesterday for examination and treatment. The "Veterinarian" Dr. Kimber prescribed three different medications, and told me that my cat had an infection. My cat passed away the very next day. When I called Banfield and spoke to another "Veterinarian", who checked Dr. Kimber's notes from yesterday, it was discovered that he wrote down in the notes, that my cat had cancer. He told me that my cat had an infection, and needed 3 different medications, and charged me $519.00. He charged me $519.00 yesterday, and within 24 hrs, my poor cat passed away. Banfield does not hire qualified "Veterinarians". They do not care about your pets. They only care about charging huge fees, and they are incompetent.

Bad Vets; Rude Service‎. On two occasions, Banfield prescribed the WRONG medicines for my animal. I'm now going to The Ithaca Small Animal Hospital which charges $20 less per visit and the staff at The Ithaca Small Animal Hospital is more caring. ...‎

The Worst Veterinarian. I will never bring my dog here again. They misdiagnosed the treatment needed for my dog, and they charged me an outrageous price, and I ended up having to take my dog somewhere else for proper treatment. Beware of Banfield Petsmart. They don't have a clue, but they'll take all of your money.
