How they've stayed in business for this long will always remain a mystery to me. Their customer service is horrible, and to be honest, I find the whole concept of this place to be very immoral. The last place they should open a store like this is in a public mall. They have young puppies held in glass containers while dozens of loud shoppers pass by and look at them, which I’d imagine, would be very stressful for them. Imagine yourself in their position: You're stuck in a glass container behind a glass window against your will. You're just a new born, yet your mother isn't even with you. Instead, you're in a mall, surrounded by a hundred people gawking and talking at you. There's no doubt in my mind that these dogs are probably sick. In fact, I believe I recall someone complaining about the dogs being sick once before. When this place first opened, a friend of mine went inside to talk to the people working there behind the counter while I stood behind. She was being very polite to them, yet they were being incredibly rude and disrespectful to her to the point where it was almost shocking. I have never seen any of the staff there offer any help or assistance. In fact, just recently I ran into an interesting situation with one of them. I was in the store, minding my own business when suddenly one of the employees started staring at me for no reason. He was a middle-aged guy: skinny, mixed (ethnically), balled (I think) and he may have been wearing glasses. If you have been there before, you probably know who I'm talking about. Anyway, he walks up to one of the dog containers, leans against it and starts looking at me for no reason. Keep in mind, this was not a friendly look he was giving, this was the kind of look that seemed to be intended to make feel threatened. He didn't say a thing. He didn't offer any assistance, nor did he even say "Hello" (not that I would expect these people to do their job like any normal employees or even do the bare minimum of acting like civilized people) He was starting to make me feel a little uncomfortable, so I turned away, hoping that maybe he would stop staring at me. I turned back and guess what, he was still staring! Now I started to get angry, so I stared back at him until he finally looked away. Then I approached the container he was leaning against as a way to let him know that I wasn't going to be intimidated by him, which actually drove him away. You have to wonder: if they treat their customers with this much disrespect, how do they treat the animals? Kind of scary when you think about it. No matter how you look at it, these people are very cold and unprofessional. If you don't believe me, my only response is to look at the other reviews below me that were submitted by other people that have been to this place. Do you think that it's somehow a coincidence that they seem to be just as disgusted with this place as I am? The only thing these pigs care about is marketing. Think about it, cute puppies sell, and what better place to do it than a mall? They don't care if it's morally right and they don't care about how they treat their customers. All they care about is lining their pockets regardless of whose expense it's on, but you know what? they never got any money out of my pockets and they never will. The only thing they will ever get out of me is this review, and I'm sure that there will be other reviews from other happy costumers soon to come.

Must say my boyfriend bought me a chi-poo puppy for mothers day 2014 not even a whole month after bringing him home, the puppy became very sick instantly and had to be put to sleep. when I bought the dog they made it seem that he was in complete good health, apparently not. So after spending about 1000 dollars on the dog, getting attached to it, bringing it to the emergency vet visit spending 500 dollars to find out what was wrong, and coming to find out there was nothing able to be done and spending money on putting the dog to sleep I called to get a refund. After calling an american dog club associate to get a refund, they had asked me to keep the dog in my fridge and pay for an autopsie!! I was astonished that she even asked me to do that after my heart breaking loss AND pay for it. that women was out of her mind. I really really hope that everyone reads this and not support these cruel people. such a loss in so many ways

This place is disgusting! All dogs are lethargic and appear sick. Very sad and disturbing to see. These are puppy mill dogs that come from prisoners that are bred day in and day out. Litter after litter. Stop supporting an illegal and horrible business. There are thousand upon thousands of puppies and dogs, purebred and mixed at numerous shelters and rescues all over this country. There is NO NEED to keep breeding new dogs. Stay away from this place....these sad puppies are the ones that pay the ultimate price! Even if they get out alive they have months of medical treatments to go through to get better, if they even do get better. These animals do not belong in a mall window...it's disturbing and stressful on any living creature to be gawked at and handled by multiple people day in and day out! STOP SUPPORTING THESE BUSINESSES!!! The ONLY way to stop this disgusting and hurtful cycle is to get your puppy or dog from a rescue or shelter!!! SAVE A LIFE!!! DON'T SHOP, ADOPT!!!

Do not buy living things at a storefront in the mall. These are living creatures, man's best friend, not shoes or pants. You will pay too much, buy an animal that will likely have more medical problems due to inferior breeding and cost you lots more in vet bills. Look up puppy mills. Then try your local shelter and search rescue groups. There are millions of dogs killed in shelters every year because there are no homes for them. Don't put money in the pocket of people that are making a living off the misery of the parents of those adorable puppies.

Imagine my shock to find a store selling puppies right here in the Smith Haven Mall. Yes, the shop is clean and bright and seemed to carry nice supplies. Yes, there were many toy breeds with adorable baby faces. BUT - this is still a shop selling dogs from brokers and/or puppy mills. Do not be fooled. Reputable breeders want to meet the people who are taking their puppies home and are available to you for questions and advice. Who takes care of these puppies after hours? Who is there to ensure they are healthy and well socialized? Perhaps most telling is that not a single person on the shop floor greeted us or asked if we needed assistance.
