Today we took our 6 year old guinea pig in for treatment of bumblefoot. Dr. DiFilippo was so awesome. She was so compassionate and genuinely concerned about helping our little guy. Highly recommend OP Veterinary Center!
I am not one to write reviews, but when it comes to the health of our furry creatures I find it absolutely necessary to urge you to stay far away. My dog was given inadequate, sketchy and very expensive care that did nothing to resolve the issue. After noting a limp we took my dog here - they took one xray, sent us home with pain meds, and said it was too small a fracture to diagnose so just let it heal and get better. At this point my dog limped only once in awhile. It didn't get better - we sought new care and was told the xrays were not thorough enough (only took from one angle and didn't capture the healthy joint alongside the swollen) and it should have been splinted to ensure proper healing. The paw kept getting worse so more xrays were done by another vet and our dog is finally getting the care she deserves. When I called this establishment to ask for a refund (because the infection is thought to be a direct effect of their lack of care) they sent me a ridiculously long, insensitive denial. We are pursuing further action and praying this doesn't lead to amputation on the part of veterinary neglect. Please, seek treatment elsewhere. The minute you walk into their Ritz like establishment you'll quickly see it's about providing sketchy treatment at the highest price and disavowing accountability later through stating they gave suggestions that they did NOT give. Oh, and when I told my vet about my experience they knew right away that it was OP (despite the numerous emergency vets in the area) even though I did not tell them which vet. Please, stay away. They prey on nervous pet owners and exploit them.
I had a wonderful experience at this facility. I have a 16 year old cat that needed someone to take a look at her teeth. I called in on a Saturday and a woman by the name of Lauren answered the phone, she was very nice and got me in to see the vet as soon as that Monday. When I walked in I was greeted by the wonderful front desk staff. I then got into see the vet Mark Hedges. He was fantastic, he treated my cat like she was his own and did not try to sell me anything that I didn't need. I walked out of there with a smile on my face and a bill of only $63.08. It was very inexpensive and they got me in and out of there as fast as possible. I will be taking all of my pets there from now on.
I have been using Orchard Park Vet for 10+ years now & cannot say enough about how amazing they are. They treated my dog with Addison's disease for 7+ years after she was misdiagnosed at another vet & almost lost her life because of it. Thanks to their excellent facility & vets she went on to live a long, healthy & happy life. They were also able to find a tumor in my 4 month old puppy that turned out to be cancerous & by such fast & effective diagnosis/treatment/surgery they saved her life as well. I would never trust my pets anywhere else. Keep up the excellent work!
So, we went to visit our dog Jeapie while he is there for treatment/surgery for liver disease. We were referred to OP by our vet. Jeap was dropped off there on Sunday evening. Today was our first visit cause we felt we didn't want to bug anyone there trying to do their job nor get Jeap over excited and get him all wound up for the staff. So we went unannounced to visit him (as we were earlier informed visiting hours are from 10am-10pm daily) and I brought him a blankie for his cage and one of his favorite toys that wasn't too overly grossed out lol. WOW, what a surprise I must say. First of all the place is a IMMACULATE! As per my comfy blanket, didn't even need it as they already had a really awesome blankie in with him. They even had what looked like lamp heaters on dogs maybe for if they were chilly. You could eat off the floor in the cage Jeap was in along with all the other cages. There were other customers sitting in chairs while holding their dogs that were there too. It was AMAZING. I was totally BLOWN AWAY! No matter Jeaps outcome I can say full heartedly that OP is doing everything above and beyond their call of duty to each and every dog that was their for treatment. The place (and all its people) is truely amazing, clean, organized, professional and courteous! I cannot say enough good things and I can't help but try to spread the word to as many people and places that I can.
