Uncaring, unsympathetic and overcharges. The ladies at the front desk are not nice, the vet (older brother) is impatient and gets annoyed with you easily. The other vet (younger brother) was the only nice one there. I thought these people were nice at first, until it came time to put my dog to sleep. I was having a hard time making the choice that the older brother was pushing on me and he kept leaving the room out of frustration to help other people. I felt like I was just a number, not to mention my 12 year old son was there too. We were both crying and the vet was annoyed that we took too long. As soon as I said yes he injected my dog before I could even blink an eye. As my son and I were hugging and crying he said to the vet tech "you deal with this" and left! Not a sympathetic word nod nothing! Then because I suppose we took up too much of his time, he over charged us $90.00! We paid $170.00 and were suppose to be charged $80.00. I didn't even cremate my dog there. The tech took us out of the back of the building through an unkept storage area and handed me my dogs body, said "sorry for your loss" and that was that. When I returned to find out why we were overcharged they said it was because it was an emergency service. I made an appointment and waited almost two hours to be seen. How is that emergency services? I asked to speak to the vet but coincidentally he was in surgery. I waited and he proceeded to take every patient in the room and ignore me. I also called several times and left messages and they refuse to call me back. They even refused to respond to the BBB which they now have an official bad rating with because of it! These people should not be in business. Very disappointing.
I got a kitten who was previously a stray. Took him here to get his claws out. Once we arrived at home, I noticed one of his paws was folded over and he was limping on it. The paw got extremely infected, so for the next couple of days I was giving him a bit of antibiotics to try to kill the infection. I called them to make an emergency appointment, but being so close to Christmas they didn't get it. When I DID get in, Dr. Inkley started yelling at me and put me in defense mode. I have been a responsible and worthy pet owner for years, I have had my two dogs for seven years with no issues. He acted as if I were an irresponsible child and refused to take any blame. I left my poor kitty there, and before I even got home he called me and wanted to put it down. Since I've had a couple people tell me that he's quick to suggest this, I asked him if he could at least try to save him (it had only been about 20 minutes since I left the office). He agreed, but two hours later he called to inform me that my cat didn't make it. Honestly, I'm not sure if he died or was put down. He was definitely infected from the surgery, but he wasn't acting weak or alarmingly ill. He was actually following me around and playing with the dogs that morning. I really believe that Dr. Inkley just did it anyway, how was I going to find out? I cried my eyes out. I paid $120 for the vet to kill my cat.
Randolph Veterinary clinic has the most knowledgeable and compassionate team of staff members that I have met. They re medical experience varies from domestic animals to even wild critters! I was recommended to this clinic with a prestigious review from a close friend. Unlike my once primary vet, this clinic is located at a destination that requires a two hour drive. Though the full-drive is approximately a four hour trip, the service and prices that this clinic offers is simply outstanding! Both my Siberian Huskies have been patients of Dr.Inkley for over five years. I have received nothing but excellent results from each of my visits. I have also taken my one dog(Diesel) to this clinic for an ACL repair; a surgery which was originally quoted at $2,500 by my once primary vet , was performed by Dr.Inkley for $850 (this included X-rays, anti-biotics and a follow-up appointment and suture removal). Randolph Veterinary Clinic is a reputable place which is affordable and provides a team of brilliant staff members. I recommend this clinic to everyone with my highest regards.
Doc Inkley is a very caring, knowledgeable Vet. On his Saturday "Open Sick Call" (no appointment needed) He saw my cat, made his recommendations and gave me real piece of mind as to my pet's health. He is a great guy! Dennis Stephens Cassadaga, NY
