I stopped into the office Monday to get more insulin for my cat. Later that night I got an email asking me to rate my experience with Coldwater Animal Hospital. I spoke my mind. I felt they were GOUGING for the insulin and felt they had lost their focus on their mission of helping the animals and made it all about money. Today I got a certified letter telling me that they were "firing me" as their client, and they had canceled my cat's upcoming appointment. Clearly the truth was more than they could bear. Specifically, they sold Prozinc for $193l. I called around the area and found that a place to sell it at $140. Drs. Foster and Smith sells it for $95 plus $25 overnight shipping. Why shouldn't I be allowed to express my perceptions without this sort of childish response? The letter said I had made it clear I didn't trust my doctor's recommendations. Were that the case, we wouldn't have stayed with them for 20+ years. Clearly they want clients who will not question why they have to pay more at Coldwater than anyplace else. Now that this has happened, it has reinforced to me that they do price GOUGE. And, if you dare say something, especially openly where others might see, they transfer it back onto you and make it seem like YOU are the problem. No problem I'll go someplace where they treat my pets, me AND my money with respect. Color me GONE!
