Got to our appointment 5 minutes early, was told there would be a 20 minute wait. Ended up waiting 75 minutes in a dirty waiting room before we were taken to an exam room. The place was FILTHY. Dog hair and crud all over the exam table because it hadn't been wiped down, used syringes on the table, syringe caps on the floor... Gross. The vet asked me questions then talked over my responses. He seemed very down-to-earth, his advice was pretty solid, he was good with the dog, and the prices were decent, but the INSANE wait time and the completely disgusting state of the office was enough of a turn-off to keep us from coming back. I wouldn't be surprised if a dog ended up eating some kind of medical waste off the floor there someday.

We have taken our pets to Dr Zimber for over 30 years. He does everything he can to keep costs down, but he provides top shelf care. The one time I tried a different vet in Fairport, They charged me over $90 for an initial visit with a Lollypop Farm cat. We had a voucher, but they found a way to jack up the price. Dr. Zimber has NEVER done that. He truly cares about the animals and understands that you shouldn't have to be rich to be able to care for them properly. I am sure that there are many people who wouldn't have an animal if Dr Zimber wasn't working so hard to keep it affordable. If you don't like the bare bones office, feel free to patronize the fancy places. You will pay for it, and the care won't be better.

Dr. Zimber is the best vet! Since 2006, we have been bringing them to Dr. Z. He is so gentle and takes as much time as you need to feel like all your questions have been answered. When our little cat needed emergency surgery, he took amazing care of her and even helped us out with the costs because we were young and didn't have a lot of extra money. We are currently moving out of state and our family will miss him and the team at Midtown Veterinary Hospital. We will never find another vet like Dr. Zimber. I give him the highest recommendation possible.

This is a fantastic place to take your animals. The staff is super friendly and helpful. More than once I have misplaced my Rabies certificate and they are always more than willing to send me another copy. Dr. Zimber is always friendly, knowledgeable and takes the time to really talk to you about the different issues that you might be having with your animal. I am so glad this place was recommended to me and that he was taking new patients. I would be lost if I had to go someplace else. Thanks for all that you do! :)

I have worked for several vets and gone to quite a few different ones because of moving. I know what is important about a vet and when I'm overpaying. His prices can't be beat but he is also very knowledgeable and helpful. He doesn't try to get you to buy services you don't need and certainly not medications like most vets will. I went to him right before they stopped taking new clients, so good luck. Unfortunately there can be a bit of a wait in the evening so be prepared.
