queduct for almost 40 years even with a hiatus during the Dr. Rapp years....We came back because we found Dr. Pike to be an excellent vet to our 1 dog and 3 cats. The staff know my dog by name and treat her very well. She loves to go there and loves doggy day care. The techs and desk staff are WONDERFUL,kind and compassionate. The negative reviews are pretty unwarranted.

Do not bring your loved one to this facility. My dog went in for a routine teeth cleaning and died under anesthesia. No explanation how or why. Unskilled and untrained techs and vet.

Disappointing service. We have been taking our dogs/cats to Aqueduct for years but they just lost me as a customer -- I will not use this vet again. I called this morning with a simple question about my two week old kitten, but they would not answer a question and said I would have to make an appt two days from now and bring the kitten in -- they couldn't possibly answer a question over the phone! Ridiculous. They wanted me to take a two week old kitten out in freezing cold weather--I don't think so. That would be worse for the poor thing than the question I was asking about. So I called another local vet, and without my even asking the person answering the phone said she would talk to the doctor and call me back in a few minutes, which she did, with an answer. I am so grateful and they have gained a new customer! I will be taking my cats to this new vet from now on as they were so much more interested and responsive than Aqueduct. For years we boarded our dog with Aqueduct, but last year they couldn't even pronounce our new dog's name correctly...they used to know our previous dog's name whenever I called to arrange for boarding. It was always such a pleasure to work with them. It is clear things have changed for the worse with the level of service going straight downhill in the last couple of years--which is sad because they used to be so good.

Dr pike.. Is great! He is the owner. I had an isusse with the female doctor there. He took over my case & since then my dog has gotten so much better. Ruth works the front desk & shes wonderful! I wold recommend you see dr pike. I felt he did a great job with my dog.

We also brought in a dog who was attacked by other dogs. She was in very bad shape and although her death was horrible for us, it was not unexpected. She died 1 day after we were told she could probably come home within 1 or 2 days and was doing fine. Some time after her death we actually received an email from a staff member informing us that she was operated on without anesthesia and without a certified veterinarian present. You make the call if you want your animal receiving this kind of treatment.
