Dr. Patel is wonderful, courteous, professional, and cares about his patient's and client's needs. He is also prompt and always available.

Downright frightening..... The old vet that used to own this place was amazing. Dr. Paliski, the new guy however, Harshad, is... I can't think of a word besides unprofessional. He has no idea what is going on, and seems more eager to perscribe drugs (always brand name I may add, which is super expensive). My cat has a problem with crystals in his urinary tract and after keeping him on Amoxocillin (or rather brand name Clavamox) for 2 weeks decided to throw him on Baytril which causes blindness in cats in as little as 2 doses. When I addressed this issue with him he was nothing but rude and condescending, and proceeded to leave the front desk and make the techs speak to me. He doesn't deserve the practice he has purchased. Don't go here.

I am a physician and while animal and human care differ, the basics remain surprisingly similar. I am in a good position to confirm that Dr. Patel is a competent and caring Vet. He follows up with aftercare calls when necessary and offers multiple treatment options. I worked with Dr. Politsky before he retired and liked him as well. I recommend Thornwood Animal Hospital, and Dr. Patel, without reservation. To those who think his care is expensive, I disagree. Yes, animal care is expensive, but this has only mirrored what is happening in human health care over the past few years. Medicine and supplies have gone up, up, up....

Tried to charge me double the going rate to have my cat euthanized. And this is after I received a referral from one of thier previous clients! They weren't able to help that animal though. They just rang the owner for $500 IN tests and then decided euthanasia was the only resort for their pet. Try North Regent in Port Chester or if you want the best care in NY go to Paws & Claws in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. They have a couple other offices and are true professionals. Unfortunetly I live in White Plains now and deal with the "take you to the cleaners" mentality.

I've been taking my cats to Thornwood Animal Hospital for 15 years and have always found them: the old vet, the new vet and their staffs, kind and caring. It's the sort of care that I want for my pets.
