I have been bringing my dog there since he was a puppy. He is a toy poodle and lately with his old age he's been getting very bad itchy skin to the point where he will scratch till he bleeds. I have taken every order and recommendations given to me by his vet and nothing seemed to work. I got desperate and tried another vet office for a 2nd opinion. Over 2 years has passed and now my dog is 15 years old. My mother cares for him now. She does not drive. This hospital is the closest walking distance to her home. We called this hospital recently to get him in for a check up. The woman on the evening shift was very nice and she said as long as we can send the paperwork from the other hospital we would be good to go. The next day my mother gets a rude phone call from the office saying they would not be able to take my dog because of "disloyalty to the company". After I had told her how could this be because an employee of theirs said it was ok, she then demanded to know who in her company would say such a thing. I have never had an experience like this before and after explaining to her my situation with my mom she had ZERO sympathy and told me that again because of my disloyalty I would not be able to bring him in ever again. At the end of the day it is the health of my animal I am worried about. The difference between a 5 minute walk to their hospital and a ride in a taxi cab can mean all the difference when an animal is in an emergency situation.
