i like the staff but my family will no longer take are animals back because of the "wonderful Dr. Schnabel! We had to put down our oldest cat Abygail first then the younger one got sick. I think he wanted to go with her, And all Dr schnabel cared about was his finger that was bleeding and he yelled at staff to get him a band aid! This made me very angry so in the future when I get a dog I will not be bringing it here! This is a true story! He IS A COMPLEAT ASS HOLE!!!

Dr. Schnabel and his staff are AMAZING! I had to have my sixteen year old fur baby sent to heaven yesterday and Dr. Schnabel and his staff were so compassionate and understanding during this terrible time. I have been taking my animals to The Weedsport Animal hospital for many years and i will continue to do so for many many more. Wonderful wonderful people.

I lived in the Rochester area for 30 years and took my cats to doctors in that area. While the offices may have been more modern and the waiting rooms more comfortable the doctors and the staff were not as personable, attentive, informative, and compassionate as all the people of Weedsport Animal Hospital. I have total confidence and trust in Dr. Schnabel and Dr. Hopp. They take the extra minute to give me peace of mind because they know that my cats are my children and they give my cats the best possible care. I am very pleased to have Weedsport Animal Hospital available for the care of my kids. Oh, I mean cats.

I am writing this in response to the post that said the 5 star reviews are from office staff. I am definitely not an employee of the vet, nor have any relation other than being a very satisfied customer of Weedsport Animal Hospital. I have had pets my entire life, lived a lot of places and been to many, many vets. WAH is the most reasonably priced while still being thorough, professional and compassionate. Every other vet I have been to jacks up the bill in every imaginable way possible. Dr. Schnabel doesn't do that. He does what needs to be done to make sure the pet is taken care of, and not a ton of extra stuff just to pad the bill. Both vets are excellent. Don't listen to the very few unhappy customers... it doesn't matter anyhow - he has a thriving practice - customers tired of paying an arm and a leg for service not as good as what he/they provide!

The staff is friendly & informative! We were able to get our 2-yr-old poodle in the same day when he was ill. (Most important for him - Dr. Hopp has a very gentle touch when giving shots!) [Note: None of my family are employed by the Weedsport Animal Hospital - we're just satisfied customers!]
