I do not take my cats to the vet regularly as they are indoor cats. When I do need to take them in, Sunrise Vet could not be more accommodating. I do not have to wait long when I arrive and have been happy with the all the doctors and staff throughout the years. They LOVE animals. As far as expense, I do not have pet insurance which may help, but I know it will cost a few hundred dollars. Veterinary care is just pricey no matter where you go as they are expensive businesses to run with skilled professionals (a veterinary doctor goes to school 7 years!!), expensive equipment and salaries. Do I wish it would be less expensive when I have to go? Sure, but I am realistic and understand whey it is what it is.

MURDER'S..... I TOOK MY PRECIOUS PERSIAN TAN & WHITE 7 MONTH OLD CAT THERE, JUST TO GET NEUTERED... ONLY TO GET A CALL A FEW HOUR LATER TELLING ME HE DIDN'T MAKE IT. ... THEY KILLED MY BABY ... (HE WAS JUST A BABY)... HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN? I WILL NOT LET THIS GO .THEY WILL BE HEARING FROM ME & MY LAWYERS.THEY BROKE MY LITTLE GIRLS HEART . THEY KILLED HER PERFECT KITTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!... DON'T TRUST THEM !! .. DON'T TAKE YOUR PRECIOUS PETS THERE.. SEE THE GUY HOLDING THE DOG IN THE PICTURE TO THE RIGHT HE IS THE MURDER !!!! NEVER TRUST THIS GUY WITH YOUR PET BECAUSE HE WILL KILL YOUR ANIMAL...

Also not sure what those other people were talking about. I'm sorry one also seemed a bit crazy too lol. My first experience there was me bringing my pet Rat to be put down. I was amazed at the price! Most exotic vets would charge triple what they did. Also Dr. Thode was really nice. When my pigeon needed a check up I took her there too. Once again Dr. Thode amazed me with her patience. She didn't even give me a hard time about not having her wings clipped. Since she also treats cats I then brought my cat there. I thought she just had bad allergies to fleas like I had been told before. Even when treated for fleas the problem wouldn't go away. I also noticed a lump in her stomach. I found out she had lymphoma. Dr. Thode was very helpful and honest with me. She's always ready to answer any questions. I also find all of there overall prices to be very reasonable. I recommend this vet to everyone I know. I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Bystry as well. I will continue to bring my pets here :)

We took our two cats to see Dr. B on the recommendation of a friend. When we got there, the staff had just had their breakfast delivered and we sat for 15 minutes after our appt. while they sat there and ate. The place was filthy. A dog pottied in the waiting room and it took 10 minutes for someone to come clean it. Even then, it was just absorbed with a towel. No cleaner or disinfectant was used. We were happy w/ Dr. B's treatment of our animals. They just had routine check ups and shots. We used a coupon we received in the mail for a free exam. The bill was still $600!! We left in shock, but we were truly mortified when one of our cats developed a respiratory infection a few days later. We have indoor cats who had never, ever been ill. We didn't think it was a coincidence that our cat got a respiratory infection from this dirty place. When I took the sick cat back, we were put into a room that was filthy and had a puddle of urine on the floor. I took pictures with my camera, it was just so bad! That visit was almost $200. After going, we have spoken with many people who used to go there, but left when it became part of VCA.

I don't know what these other reviewers are complaining about. Dr Bystry is the best vet I've ever been to. My pets have been going to Sunrise for 15 years and I love it. I trust my animals' lives with them.
