Janna & Brady Robbins are some of the best veterinarians I have EVER worked with. He's brilliant with surgical concepts, isn't afraid to work with the dogs directly. I've brought them two police dogs with trauma, and they've done splendid jobs. One time, they repaired a botched job by a horse vet (who was the only vet available at the time of the shooting) so well that the dog recovered completely, with no visible sign of having been shot. I can't speak highly enough of their skills. Their practice is busy BECAUSE they're good, capable veterinarians, so it's not always a perfect bureaucracy, but they DO care, as does their staff. I wouldn't hesitate to take most any animal to them.

Preparing for a planned trip out of town, I called AMC the day before to make arrangements for dog boarding overnight. Having just moved to the area, I explained to the representative that the dog's shot records were packed and I could not produce them. She told me that was fine; they did not require the record. I showed up the following morning to drop off the dog and was told they had to have the record, but since I didn't have it they were willing to reimmunize the dog, for a substantial fee of course. After some deliberation, I became angry and found another boarder, who told me that AMC has a reputation for this scam to make money on immunizations. They made me late for my trip because of their dishonesty! Well, they tried to scam a few dollars on immunizations and ended up losing a lifetime customer.

This is in reply to the comment left by John. They give a generous discount to seniors, not many do in this area. Their office visits and boarding fees are also less expensive than Owasso vets. So I don't think that they are trying to "scam" people for money. I drive from Owasso to Claremore (approx. 20-30 min) because they are friendly, reasonably priced, provide excellent care and service. I cannot recommend them highly enough. There is absolutely no veterinarian that will allow you to board without proper proof of vacination. They would have asked John for the name of his previous vet and had the shot records faxed over. My bet is that John didn't have up to date shots and was trying to scam them :) He is just mad that he got caught.
