Dr. Minton is one of the best veterinary doctor I have ever taken one of my animals too. My dog Spike almost died due to the lack of care provided by the Norman Animal Emergency Hospital and their misdiagnosis of his illness. Dr. Minton knew within moments what was wrong with Spike and saved his life. If the state gave awards to veterinarians based on their skills of being a doctor and the love and compassion they show animals Dr. Minton would win this award year after year.
This Veterinary Hospital lacks all things professional and caring. They are only interested in your money, not you or your pets well being. I would highly advise you to take your animal elsewhere. I would even advise you to take your pet to a bigger and better location in Norman or OKC. At least you would be getting top notch care and probably a better doctor. The "business" this hospital does is terrible, at best. They have no compassion for your pet and could really care less about what happens to your pet. They are un-willing to provide the caring and compassion pet owners deserve when faced with sick/dying animals. Tammy Minton was completly unwilling to assist my grandmother with her dying cat. She could not even take the time out for her day, to come to my grandmothers car (parked right out front in the lot) to see if in deed her cat was dying and to see what she could do (if any) to help. Even if she was not able to provide proper service, she could advise my elderly grandmother, who was so upset and crying over her sickly cat, what to do and have some "care". However, what she did was dispicable and she should be terribly ashamed. Tammy advised my grandmother if she wasnt going to bring the cat inside, there was nothing she could do. Did she ever stop to think, maybe, this cat is in terrible pain and hurts to move?? If you are a caring professional vet, Tammy would know how to handle a situation like this. I am very disappointed to report that she blew my 81 year old grandmother off with out any care or dignity, and told her to take the cat home and keep him warm. My very upset grandmother returned home and told me what had happened. The cat died a few hours later. Thank you Tammy Minton for all your hard work and really putting my grandmothers heart at ease. I hope no one ever treats you and your old animals in the same fashion. I know you would not appreciate it.
