This is a wonderful clinic & Dr. McNeill is by far the favorite vet that i've ever had for my dog. I like dealing with these folks & it seems like they really genuinely care about my pets. While vet care is never cheap, the clinic overall is a pretty affordable place to go. I take all my pets here (except house rabbits, which they do not treat), & have recommended them to many friends. They also offer obedience training classes at the clinic, and boarding in the adjoining building. Great place.
I took my dogs to Mustang Vet for over 4 years, the staff and professional care has greatly declined and I'm now looking for a new vet. My dog got injured and after 2 surgeries that were done incorrectly, I went to another clinic that fixed the problem. They cannot keep staff and I always had to wait 30-45 minutes even though I always had an appointment scheduled. They also are dishonest when it comes to pricing and what needs to be done with your pet, if you don't know alot of dogs they will empty your wallet doing tests that don't need to be done!!! BEWARE!!!!
Beware! New Age Medicine! (1)Took my dog there to have her checked out, the drug used, (the only one in there arsenal for sedation), was injected, I waited an hour for the drug to work, it never did, and they said that's all they could do because they do not use any other drug due to their belief that they are not good! Cost me over $100 for the shot that didn't work, and some pills to try. (2) Took our 14 year old dog to a scheduled appointment to have it put down, he was in great pain. Again, they wanted to apply some quasi sedation before applying the lethal injection, of course this doubles the price, but the initial drug caused the dog to freak out and his last moments of life were in torment! This place does not have the means to humanly treat an animal that is in extreme pain!!!!!!!! LOOK AROUND THE ROOM THEY USE FOR LETHAL INJECTION, ITS LIKE GOING INTO A WITCH DRUG STORE WITH ALL THE WIERD HERBS AND OILS.
We shopped other clinics to see if there were any cheaper (lots), but none were so close to the city. QUALITY IS NOT CHEAP!!! If you cannot afford to take care of you pet, you probably should not have one. They saved our puppy when he was VERY young when he was poisoned out on a farm...so we have a "tender" place in our hearts for them. The staff is very friendly and accomodating...they have done both our dogs ever since. Would give them 5.5 stars, but not available!
I've taken my animals here for over 20 years. Dr McNeil is a very talented veterinarian. She saved one of my dogs when it was poisoned, and its kidneys had already shut-down. She recently saved a puppy we found that had parvo and was very ill. I've recommended this clinic to all my friends, especially if they're pets need a naturopath as Dr McNeil is an awesome one. I don't feel that this clinic is over-priced at all. Go to OKC if you want to see some truly over-priced clinics.
