    Terrible experience. I've copied an email I sent to the vet to explain: I typically do not write these types of emails but in this case I believe it is necessary. The lady you have answering your phone is one of the rudest people I’ve ever spoken to and I really think you should consider a replacement because she is driving away business. My husband and I have both placed calls to your office for our dog Sidney (you can find her file under ******). We were both so turned off by your receptionist that we considered not using your service. We recently moved to the area and needed to find a vet for our dog. She takes Trifexis to prevent fleas, ticks and heart worms and had run out of her prescription so I called to see if we could get her in to get her shots up to date and to get a refill. I was told that you had openings and it would be $50- very short and rude but I got the info I needed so I didn’t think much of it. My husband called to make an appointment since he would be the one bringing the dog in on his off day. He said the receptionist was so rude he almost didn’t show but went ahead and brought the dog in anyway. He was very pleased once he actually saw the vet. Our dog got her shots and we thought everything was covered. I tried to place an order to re-fill her prescription online and got an email to call the vet’s office for additional information. The first time I called I heard “Mustang Veterinary Hospital hold” and then the phone beeped like I was leaving a message. I hung up not knowing what was going on. I waited a couple hours and called back, this time I heard the same hateful voice answering the phone. I said good morning and explained that I had gotten the email and was calling to see what information was needed. I wish I had a recording of the attitude and tone I heard on the other end of the phone. It was really unlike anything I’ve heard from a professional, possibly ever. I was told that the vet did not like the medication I was trying to get and that if I wanted that type of medication I would have to bring my dog back in for a heart worm check. I was told that if I didn’t request the check in the initial call it would not have been done at the visit. I understand that the heart worm check may need to be done before a prescription would be approved. I also understand that people have “off days” where they just aren’t in the best mood. What I cannot understand is why anyone in a service position that answers calls from pet owners would be so rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. I appreciate you taking the time to read this email. I also appreciate you getting our dog up to date on her shots. However, unless something is done to convince me and my family otherwise, our business will be taken elsewhere.

    brought our dog in b/c he has a mass growing and wanted to get it removed, payed 35. for office visit and 10. for some tranqilizer pills that he wanted us to give ur dog morning of surgery because our dog is old and grouchy and he needed him calm, gave him the meds and we recieve a call that he cant do it because our dog isnt calm. hes a 24 pound dog! i wasnt able to leave work to get him for 6 hours later. when i went to pick him up the man was nice and seemed friendly but very weird when i told him i was worried about my dog all day and happy to get him b/c im always worried someone will be mean to my dog b/c our dog can be mean. the man got so weird and raised his voice to me and said " if you think that, you never come back here again" and i told him i wasnt saying him i just ment in general and he wanted to argue with me saying "well you just said it" i just wanted to get my dog n go. my dog is home and is so sad and acting so weird and his eye is swollen. im affraid my fears might have been right. i hate to say this about someone but i have such a bad feeling about the way he took my comment and with the way my dog is acting and a swollen eye :( im so sad and feel so upset that i allowed it to happen. i will Never return to this place and do not trust that man (dr.). dont know when i will ever trust another place to remove his mass.

    This place was great. The doctor there is just a very down to earth country boy type and he took great care of my cat. I'm definately going back to this vet. They tried to save me money. It's the only time I ever went to a vet's office and the people didn't try to gouge me for every penny I own. They care about the animals more than your money. Good, honest people work there!

    This place is so white and lifeless inside, and I would say the same for the Doctor. My friend and I brought in her dog for a basic check up and nail trimming, said doctor had to restrain my friends little chihuahua just to clip his nails. (I've been to other vets and all they did was hold him lovingly). He couldn't cut my dogs nails because if he had to restrain him any longer he said the dog would have a heart attack. So he gave us some tranquilizers and told us to come in the next day. He clipped the dog's nails, as he was pretty much knocked out. Don't go here.

    Dr. Wood is a kind and genuinely caring man. There isn't a lot of shiny shoes coats and ties in his place, but there is a great doc who stays on top of the latest medicine and alternative therapies.
