I get my Shih-tzu groomed at awesome care vet, by Kaylee M. and she has given him the best groom I have ever seen. He is a little tough to work with and she got his face perfect and we were very happy! If you need a groomer she is AWESOME!

I took my dog who had been vomiting all morning there on a Saturday. The vet we usually take him too was packed and were warned it would be 4-5 hours to see the vet. When we arrived we were taken back to see a Dr. Sharon Minks or Minx. She pretty much said she had no idea what could possibly be wrong with the dog and to know for sure she would need to take x-rays, stool samples, keep him overnight, do blood tests etc. She said she was only doing this because she wanted to provide the best care possible. She gave us an estimate of $1,200 and said that if we didn't do what she asked we were short changing our dog. She said she would be back to let me think about it. At around the same time she started having a verbal altercation with an employee or a former employee you could hear her yelling "Get out, I don't want to talk to you and all you could hear was Dr. Minks please give me a chance to explain. I called my sister who said she had already called another vet near our home and they wold make sure our dog got in as soon as possible.The assistant came in and asked what we thought, we really could not afford $1,200 so we said we couldn't. She said she would be back with our bill. She came back and we never sae the vet again. Usually that isn't the case. I cna't believe it was pretty much a you can't pay, leave type of situation. We went to the other vet and while we did wait about 2 hours, they prescribed some anitbiotics and our dog wasmuch better after a couple of days. All in all if was only $60 dollars which was much more reasonable. I have heard good things about Dr. Juletia Gonzalez but recommend you don't even deal with anyone else if you go here.

Awesome Care Veterinary has a new owner and under new management. The staff is friendly and professional.
