My old vet retired years ago and I haven't been able to find a place that I like since then. I took an emaciated stray kitten we found in to check her out and I am very impressed. It took a while to get seen because they are walk-ins only, but the staff was friendly and the Dr who saw my kitten was very helpful. Dr cleaned up my kitten, did tests, gave her medicine and gave me the rest of the prescription, and when she came back out she brought a huge "sample" box of kitten food! Now i've been to Neels and a couple other "big" clinics in my search to find a decent vet and I've never been given a sample of anything let alone such a big size. The bag of food will last me over a month and it came with some canned food too. She also gave me some samples of shampoo since my kitten was so groady which saved me a trip to the store. Anyway, the visit, tests, meds and prescription only cost 70. That kind of blew me away, over at Neel's they charged me 80 bucks for blood work by itself. Long story short I highly recommend this place!
Dr Nancy gives only the best care. I know because we rescue Collies and she sees every one that comes through. For over 10 years of care she has seen every dog of ours that has come through, which is more than I want to think about. These dogs have been in every stage of health. With each dog we feel that she gives her best assessment of their condition and treatment. There are many dogs throughout Oklahoma who are living healthy lives due to Dr Nancy's care through our program. I imagine that almost anyone who has used her care will feel the same.
Don't take your animals here. We brought our cat in because she was emaciated and dehydrated after refusing to eat while we were on vacation. I was in tears over her condition and after she was examined the vet seemed completely disinterested and dismissive. The only thing she said was that she may have kidney disease? I had to ask if there was anything else they could do for her. The vet said, "oh well, I guess we could put her on a saline drip?" We eagerly agreed to this and it saved our cat (who does not have kidney disease). I think if you are a vet you should at least be a person who cares about the health and wellbeing of the animals you treat.
