Our experience at Birch Street Animal Clinic was wonderful- one of our dogs got sick right before Thanksgiving and Dr. Dax & Dr. Jarret went out of the way to treat her, staying after hours even to check up on her and gave us phone calls to update us with her progress. Both of these vets are very personable and knowledgeable, and really worked with us to make sure our dog's treatment stayed within our budget. They will from now on be our permanent go-to vet and I would 110% recommend bringing your pet here as well.

I never had the chance to meet the "quirky" Doc before he retired but heard he was a good Doctor. We just found a new Vet in this staff, awesome down to earth folks. Our cat is 3 months from feral and I tried to warn them not to be fooled by this all white blue eyed cat as "Boo Boo" will rip you arm off if given half a chance. I couldn't have been more wrong, they introduced themselves to him with the back of the hand, calm words and just began to handle "The Cat from Hell" couldn't believe it! They taught me techniques for working with him that I wouldn't have known, taught me how to treat my own wounds should they occur again and put my Wife & I on a path to bringing him into our lives. Prices were very reasonable especially since they stayed after hours to patch him up (he tangled with a Mountain Lion and won) lol Mel

My first visit was great! I brought both of my dogs, the doctor was very helpful and the staff was very kind. Not only did they help my pets feel comfortable they also had a coloring book to entertain my son while our dogs received their exam. I will definitely come back

I am sorry to hear about the other two reviewers experiences but I have found Dr. Harpster and his staff to be excellent with both animals and people! Prices are reasonable, they are compassionate and we are pleased with their services. Dr. Harpster is quirky but he is a caring and compassionate person and is really there for the animals!

Everyone has their own paradigm and we have had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Harpster. They have become apart of our family and have never mislead us and have proved that even challenging pets can be socialized and become loving pets and more importantly, members of our family. The customer service has never been less than excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend this office to anyone. A refreshing balance of reality and compassion is a rare component in our often time overly cynical society. R.I.P.M.
