What a caring place! My new kitten unfortunately was diagnosed with FIP and had to be put to sleep suddenly on a Sunday morning. Not only were they able to fit us in immediately, but they were so caring and understanding of the sad situation. I felt really taken care of, and the doctor's knowledge and assessment of my cat's condition made me feel like I was able to make the right decision. Then, this morning, I got a condolence card in the mail from them. I cannot recommend their services enough!
Started going here because we needed boarding for our two dogs at a place where we knew our dogs would be safe and well kept while we were on vacation for three days. when we came to pick up our two dogs a dachshund and a jack russel mix, they brought out each dog one at a time and when they brought our dachshund out they kept yanking at her leash to pull her back and you would hear her yelp. Since then we brought our two dogs there for check ups and shots, and on our last visit they needed most of their shots again, and the staff was VERY attentive and friendly. but as for the bill.... $600 for shots. are you kidding?? that's an absolutely ridiculous amount of money for vaccines!! wayyyyy to expensive, will be looking for another vet to go to where prices are much more reasonable!!
I have taken our pets there for over 10 years. My advice: ASK questions. The care and the prices are VERY UNEVEN: sometimes knowledgeable and fairly priced and sometimes not. They tend to rely too much on high-tech instead common sense. When my son's rat was sick I felt pressured to shell out $200 for tests even though they admitted it wouldn't change the treatment. (It's hard to say no when your son is in tears!) We knew the rat would need to be euthanised and I was told different prices by different staff: as high as $300(!) which included an emergency fee, even though it was during regular hours and they had just seen him earlier. We finally met with a doctor and nurse who were very knowledgeable and professional and kind and only charged us 1/6th of that. (This doc is no longer there). We had already spent nearly $500 on a $10 rat- we loved him dearly and didn't want him to suffer but $300 to die in peace?! Really? Some docs call back right away and are good at explaining things. Unfortunately Dr Wright himself seems a bit indifferent at times. And honestly, they started to change when they built the new facility-- draw your own conclusions. Their meds are expensive! Some vets will tell you to pick something up at CVS for a lot less and other will say they've "never heard of that-- does it work?". Since we have 'exotics' and they generally give decent care, we keep with them. Vets deserve to be paid fairly. But if I knew someone better...I would be gone in a heartbeat.
Takes for ever..... And the doctor I saw past 2 times try's to rush through the exam. Our old doctor left wrights and it's just not the same. Looking for new vet. Our animals are a big part of our life and we pay a pretty penny for there care. Did not feel like that matters nor do we get great care
